Pope Denounces Canada; BigCityLib Denounces Pope

Pope Benedict lashed out at Canada today for allowing same sex marriage and abortion:

"In the name of tolerance your country has had to endure the folly of the redefinition of spouse, and in the name of freedom of choice it is confronted with the daily destruction of unborn children," the Pope told a group of bishops from Ontario.

Tough shit, Benny, and you know what the funny part is? We may have sold our asses to the Devil, but things are going along fine. Everyone's living peaceably, the economy's doing great. There's no sign we're going to sink into the ocean anytime soon. So take that crap back to the Vatican; it don't play in TO.

Oh, and here's one right back at you!

I DENOUNCE THEE POPE BENEDICT! I DENOUNCE THEE!

I am not Catholic but I am hardly a Pope hater.

One of his greatest blessings is that he doesn't have anger management problems that cause him to call women things like, say, "harlot" or "slut" so he's pretty cool in my books!

Anyway, I think that it is to the liberal advantage to jump on some of the Pope's comments and remind Catholic voters that Stephen Harper and the CPC government at their convention adopted a MORE pro-choice platform than any other party. During the election he went so far as to say he'd do all in his power to prevent any pro-life legislation. Mr. Harper is the face of the pro-choice movement. Vote NDP! LOL

Well, I'm glad the new Pope is able to get through a day without calling women Harlots and Sluts. I would think that would be a minimal requirement, not his "greatest blessing".

Bigcitylib I was making a reference to ti-guy who previously posted.....

he has a habit of referring to women as "harlots" and so forth...

I found it odd that he felt he had anything to offer on how a man of faith should conduct himself.

Of course the Pope shouldn't be calling people harlots etc.

I think we would all agree that ti-guy wouldn't make a very good Pope.
