No wonder the Liberals are dead as doornails in all three places with snotty attitudes like that!

No, of course, oil doesn't power the lights and computers of BC'ers (nobody claimed that it does). In fact that comes from hydroelectric dams and natural gas fuelled thermal plants. Which you can also find plenty of local NIMBY environmentalist opposition to if you care to look.

And yes, "the coast" has vast intrinsic value beyond simply being an oil terminal -- a precious observation not unique to emotive darlings of the left, btw. One presumes that any such development will take all the necessary precautions and safety measures to ensure its preservation. Unless that is, you're of the mindset that believes any sort of development or industrial activity is inherently EVIL, deliberately malicous, and wantonely destructive.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23292180.post-74716353253347169492012-01-03T14:42:28.855-05:002012-01-03T14:42:28.855-05:00Most British Columbians are at least aware that oi...Most British Columbians are at least aware that oil doesn't power their lights and computers.
Most are also aware of the coast's value beyond its ability to simply employ a few more people at an oil terminal.
Those that aren't would probably be just as happy moving to some prarie shithole.Lennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05937127608668201556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23292180.post-86496958532146051222012-01-03T14:08:40.898-05:002012-01-03T14:08:40.898-05:00Polls are infinitely mutable.

I ...you are not making any sense at all Carmichael. I am also a long time BC woman and BC was in dire straights after 10 years of the NDP. Its amazing how one so easily forgets what BC looked like before Campbell became premier of BC. Our province was broke, facing a deficit that was well hidden when the ledgers were turned in and audits were done when they took power. the NDP squandered our tax dollars on fast cat ferries that were not suited for the BC coast, never allowed fair bidding for BC ship builders or other ship builders from other countries. Every job had to be union jobs regardless of the cost chasing business out of the province because of the NDP. They can say all they want about that didn't happen but in reality, they are as close to the Reform Alliance party as Harper is.

They are also compulsive liars and a BS government. They will do anything, say anything to buy a few votes and right now, they are riding on the shirt tails of Laytons death and not only in BC but across the country.
