Although he is a Tory I could probably wind up voting for, based on what I know of him.

Lord was looking into running for the CPC in a safe NB riding somewhere in this election, but probably backed off because it was looking like a Harper majority. He isn't going to wait 4 years in the backbenches as one of Harper's trained parrots, mainly because he's making much better money where he is.

As for your second sentence... Exactly! Bernard Lord is a Red Tory that would swing the CPC towards the centre - aka the Progressive Conservatives. He could easily win government if he was leading a moderate CPC against a weak coalition in 18-24 months time. But being he isn't a rabid right-winger - and most importantly not from Alberta - he won't become CPC leader. And that is good news for the Liberal Party in the long term.Tof KWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15756310841374198056noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23292180.post-78102413033515488622011-04-28T14:42:51.172-04:002011-04-28T14:42:51.172-04:00I like Dominic LeBlanc..I see Mr Ignatieff got mad...I like Dominic LeBlanc..I see Mr Ignatieff got mad while talking to the Star and told them 'the Conservatives can go to hell'!!!A Eliz.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11088834823455226692noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23292180.post-46541752767105005522011-04-28T11:28:21.056-04:002011-04-28T11:28:21.056-04:00McKenna is too old - 67 by the next election if it...McKenna is too old - 67 by the next election if it's four years away and has been out of office for 14 years.Reality Biteshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10350104223630062677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23292180.post-72256804333008112672011-04-28T11:05:09.472-04:002011-04-28T11:05:09.472-04:00I really hope it's Dominic LeBlanc.I really hope it's Dominic LeBlanc.Jackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01013733594795003566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23292180.post-30983766981342780812011-04-28T10:29:55.085-04:002011-04-28T10:29:55.085-04:00What about Frank McKenna? ;P (The front-runner who...What about Frank McKenna? ;P (The front-runner who never ends up running.)sharonapple88https://www.blogger.com/profile/11149226422042041129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23292180.post-53960259048305880512011-04-28T10:16:07.924-04:002011-04-28T10:16:07.924-04:00Being out of office, I don't think Lord has mu...Being out of office, I don't think Lord has much of a power base in the Party.
