...is a great way to kill your traffic. Even Manitobans don't want to hear about Manitoba. HALLLOOO? HALLOOO? Anyone out there in the frozen tundra? I hear they've got a city somewhere in the snow where The Guess Who came from.
On another topic, Jeff points out that Wajid Khan will indeed be running again as a Tory in Mississauga-Streetsville. I don't have much to add to his comments, other than to note that this website, Betrayed By Wajid Khan, may serve as an important repository of wajiphernalia during the campaign. Not much at the site now, but perhaps this news will arouse the page owner to greater heights of righteous indignation.
PS. Did you know that Hazel McCallion refers to Khan as "wijid"?
I guess we've been ti-guyed to death.
ReplyDeleteKate writes about Saskabush and gets lots of activity. Maybe you should write about Don Mills.
ReplyDeleteDon Mills gets no activity. Manitoba gets even less. Everyone loves Saskatchewan, for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI guess that says a lot about your readers. If it ain't about the 'center of the Candian universe', who cares?
ReplyDeleteManitoba has no Liberal party to speak of provincially. At least they've got that going for them.
Ti-Guy, according to the fellow runs the "Betrayed by...website", it was Hazel called him that first.
ReplyDeleteEasy kids, I know all that smog has made it tough to navigate your way through the homeless people to get to your crackhouse but that is no reason to be bitter. Manitoba has beautiful clear skied summers and over one hundred thousand lakes to enjoy them on.We have the cheapest hydro rates in North America. House prices are reasonable despite tremendous growth in the market. We have excellent public auto insurance and many world class golf courses. Now having said that,we certainly are boring. The provincial budget gets no interest because it is the same as every other provincial budget, NDP or Conservative. A little bit for everyone, nothing radical. Look how tough we are on crime. Yawn.Alot of social conservatives here left and right, especially in the aforementioned Steinback area. Thats Vic Toews country. We vote in an almost equal number of liberals and conservatives federally and we dont care about equalization because we get a similiar amount no matter how you split up the pie.We love Hockey in spite of the loss of our beloved Jets, and most Manitobans are friendly and kindhearted so be kind back love a Winnipegger
ReplyDeleteEveryone writes and loves Saskatchewan because it's sooo sexy, oh yeahhhh!
ReplyDeleteAnd there have been a whole whack of bigfoot sightings out there recently. Don't forget that, Saskboy.
ReplyDeleteSaskatchewan is totally sexy. There is a pretty girl behind every tree.
ReplyDeleteManitoba house prices are low because too many would-be home buyers are leaving the socialist mentality of the province for greener fields. That's not a selling point - "Come to Manitoba, where your home value won't appreciate."
ReplyDeleteAnd the public insurance is NOT the 'excellent deal' you imagine. Now both sides get screwed by the monopoly.
Come now anonymous I never said house prices were low . I said house prices are reasonable despite tremendous growth. Houses have appreciated greatly but are still an excellent value. As for the socialist mentality, I wish. There are way more right wingers then left wingers around here. BC has public auto insurance does that give them a socialist mentality? Also my car Insurance company is about to send me a rebate. My second one in two years. How about yours?
ReplyDeleteYou're right, there's never been a socialist gov't in BC.
