Paul Ross Evans has pleaded guilty to the attempted bombing of the Austin Women's Health Center, and more and more it appears as though he fits the profile of a religious (Christian) terrorist:
Evans, 27, who pleaded guilty Friday, had the name and address of Austin lawyer Sarah Weddington, who successfully argued for the decriminalization of abortion in the landmark Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court case.
He also had the names and addresses of a stem-cell researcher, a rabbi and a pornography production company, all in California.
[...]
A later search of Evans' apartment, according to the plea agreement, found the following books: "Pipe and Fire Bomb Designs," "Special Forces Demolition Techniques," "The Turner Diaries" and "The Pelican Brief."
"The Pelican Brief," a legal thriller by John Grisham, was marked on a page about a bombing, the plea agreement said.
"The Turner Diaries," a 1978 novel that tells in part about a militia blowing up federal buildings, was written by the founder of the National Alliance, a white supremacist organization.
Apparently, he also confessed to targeting Satanists, although there is nothing about this facet of the story in the MSM piece linked to above. In fact, it was a spike in traffic I got this morning from The League Of Independent Satanists that made me think something had happened in the case. (Google News Alerts...Phooey!!!)
You're almost as talented as "canadian cynic". By the way, that's not a compliment.
ReplyDeleteAt least I have a name . . . you must have gone to school in the 90's, when everyone came first . . . . or was that last!!!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I get the feeling bigcitylib has been waiting a long time to publish an article with the words "Christian terrorist" in the headline.

"What religion killed the most people in the 20th century?"
ReplyDeleteWasn't a religion, it was an atheistic political system, communism.
"Terrorism is not the exclusive purvue of Islam."
No, but it sure is popular with them.

Yeah, atheists just take over the government so they can slaughter the citizens wholesale.
ReplyDeleteMuch less messy.
