In Which Steyn Writes Insufficiently Moderate Muslims Out Of the Debate

Gary Wise has the tapes at the Wise Law blog. Something about CAIR members making anti-semitic remarks, is one of Mark's justifications. Apparently in this situation its okay to "shut down the debate". But not when its Nazis. Hmm.

  1. Man, there's only one thing worse than reading Mark Steyn and that's listening to him talk.

    Ponce...PONCE!

Please make it clear to me what Steyn, regardless of what you think of him, and Mcleans, a privately owned publication, has done wrong? That is the real argument here. You guys completely miss the point. You take your freedom for granted.

  3. Macleans has published racist tripe, Steyn has written it. The question is, does what they wrote violate Canadian civil rights legislation? Probably not, but the Tribunal will decide.

you got some big kinda hard on for Steyn.

Wait till some christian zealot who you have pissed off with your anti jesus hate mongering nails your sack to some HRC tribunal's front door.

They came for Steyn and you helped them.

They came for you and we all cheered.

What were you zoned as? Light industrial?

If you paranoid wingnuts didn't sound so insane all the time, people might be more disposed to take your side.

That's a laugh. You're the ones who think 9/11 was created by a neocon cabal intent on dominating the world so that Pentecostals can outlaw your rubber fetish.

  9. Are Moderate Muslims not on our side, the rule of law, and democracy?

Moderate Muslims were reading and agreeing with Steyn.

Moderate Muslims are embarassed by the HRC complaint.

Or are you saying there are no Moderate Muslims.

This has nothing to do with Muslims, moderate or otherwise. It's just the same old group of radical students trying to impose their brainwashed, radical left-wing ideologies on the world. It's simply rooted in the same hate that drives the lowliest bigot. These aspiring lawyers and actual lawyers have nothing better to do than impose their warped visions on ordinary Canadians wh could give fig about Steyn or Muslims or changing demographics; they're to busy working and saving and raising.

The HRC is just another way for useless people to get taxpayer's money through the jobs it creates and for useless people to make money off of those who they don't agree with me. Another racket for the maggots and leaches who can't earn a buck to save their lives. In te meantime they strip the rights of responsible taxpayers. eg. gun-control, speech laws, safety laws, funding for morons who can't get real jobs, etc. etc.

  14. MAS,

All good stuff. But, riddle me this:

In the Canadian context, are moderate Muslims for or against 1)making hijab wearing women reveal their face to vote, and 2) making the hijab illegal.

My hope is they're against both 1) and 2).

    ReplyDelete
  15. Anonymous7:50 PM

I wouldn't make hijab illegal. If someone wants to wear it (as long as it does not interfere with public interests, i.e., voting, ID photos, etc.), it is a personal choice and the government should not be telling people what to do as long as it does not affect the public. If hijabs are outlawed, the next will be Sikh turbans, Jewish yarmulkes, etc. Where do you draw the line?

  16. That whole Muslims Against Sharia has never passed the smell test with me. Most of the themes seem to be the same ones espoused by loony neocons.

    From its Manifesto:

    The Crusades vs. The Inquisition
While the Inquisition was a repulsive practice by Christian Fundamentalists, the Crusades were not unprovoked acts of aggression, but rather attempts to recapture formerly Christian lands controlled by Muslims.

Lot of references to FrontPage Magazine as well.

Too bad you're a reactionary, and don't get to think inquisitively.

  18. Oh, c'mon. One of the team members for that blog is loony Pamela "Atlas Shrugs" Geller-Oshry, whose latest hijinx has involved courting neo-nazis.

BCL's mancrush on Steyn is becoming increasingly apparant.

It's getting more than a little creepy.

Why not just rename your blog:

"I have a repressed man-love for Mark Steyn and it's causing me to obsess about him....and other things of that nature."

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yes, sorry, if it involves Pamela from AtlasShrugs, then its a sham and a total misinformation campaign.

"Oh, c'mon. One of the team members for that blog is loony Pamela "Atlas Shrugs" Geller-Oshry, whose latest hijinx has involved courting neo-nazis."

This would be a good time to note that Steyn is a Bilderberger, and the last Mulsim cartoon brouhaha had Bilderbergers as players too.

This whole matter doesn't pass the smell test. It's as if the moment Richard Warman's activities came to light in the media and blogsphere this affair popped up and magically superceded it.

Wow, what an awesomely fortuitous turn of events for the Richard Warmans of the world who can go back to doing what they were doing now that the focus is on millionaire American Steyn and his "struggle".

Ti-Guy, you must be not that bright if you attempt to argue with historical facts, i.e., Crusades. If you don't believe that Middle East was Christian before it became Muslim, you need to learn history. And claiming that Pam is courting neo-nazis, is one of the most idiotic things I've heard. But since you are not able to make a distinction between a member of Muslims Against Sharia and a contributor to our blog (which is open to anyone who has an intelligent opinion about radical Islam; you’re obviously too dumb to be a contributor) I am not surprised.

LOL, TiGuy gets pwned by a neo-con entryist op.

  25. Since when are "good" Muslims so damn hissy and bitchy?

That guy shows up whenever some bigot is being discussed to flog his idiotic neocon blog and then accuses me of being "unintelligent."

    Fraud. FRAUD!

  26. Muslims Against Sharia thank you for your links.

From ti-guys rants, I don't think he believes there are moderate muslims, so why say Steyn has left them out of the debate.

    MAS was I not correct:

"Are Moderate Muslims not on our side, the rule of law, and democracy?

Moderate Muslims were reading and agreeing with Steyn.

Moderate Muslims are embarassed by the HRC complaint."

Steyn was speaking of Radicals, and quoted radicals. Sheesh!!!!

I don't how the civilised world managed to survive before the mechanisms existed whereby Wayne could tell it what he believes.

Go back to the barn, Wayne. There's a lonely bovine in there who's feeling rather ignored lately.

  28. Talk about making shit up. When did I ever claim this:

My favorite is that they always claim that “Islamofascism” is a neocon-invented term (therefore it is racist)...

I think Islamosfascist is a stupid term used by racists/bigots, but I've never had a problem calling extreme religious fundamentalism and the imposition of belief systems fascist, be they Islamic or otherwise.

By the way, how's Atlas Juggs these days? Still getting mustache rides from John Bolton?

    ...ewps. How sexist of me.

  29. MASH thank you for your informed comments.

  30. Yes, enjoy the gentle rain that droppeth from the heavens that is the effusive, ebullient praise of teh Wayne.

  31. MAS,

I don't think the term is particularly accurate. What specifically do you think is "fascist" (in the historical sense) about Al Qaeda?

    Ti-Guy,

"Perhaps if you call me stupid 20 more times"

No, I'll leave that to your cousin dad.

  33. My cousin dad?

    Typical fraud...very brittle.

  34. Anonymous6:26 PM

    Ti-Guy,

    “My cousin dad?”

Obviously, you are too dumb to comprehend such a complicated concept; so let me break it down for you. When your father molested his retarded sister, she gave birth to you. That makes him your cousin, hence, cousin dad.

    Ti-Gay,

What's with the speech impediment? That extra chromosome kicking in? You must have a big crush on Atlas; you mention her pretty often. Frankly, I don't think you have a shot. She is unlikely to even come near retarded pig-fuckers.

  38. *gasp*...Islamofascism. Right here at BigCityLib.

I wonder if part of this fraud's shtick is to act as rude and fascist as he can? He certainly swears a lot more than any Muslim I've ever met.

Wouldn't put it past anything ol' Pammy "Hot for John Bolton" Geller-Oshry is associated with.

Hey, Ti-Fag, if the term 'Islamofascism' so repulsive to you, why don't you try this post? See if you have the balls to stand up to real Islamophobes, not the ones created by you conspiracy theories.
