FreeD Hires Zundel's Lawyer

...to defend them in their lawsuit against Richard Warman.Barbara Kulaszka is a Canadian lawyer best known for her role in defending far-right figures, like Ernst Zundel, and Paul Fromm, and Marc Lemire, and Imre Finta.

She is also the author (or editor, depending on the attribution) of "Did Six Million Really Die? Report of the Evidence in the Canadian 'False News' Trial of Ernst Zündel".

Mark Steyn sings her praises here.

Oddly enough, it didn't have to be like this. Back in December, Connie and Mark announced that they had hired a well-respected Ottawa lawyer named Kenneth Bickley but it appears that he is no longer involved in the case.

  1. Hey, what happened to the comments here? I was proud of the one I wrote about Steyn, considering I actually steeled myself to read his post in order to write it.

I'm pretty sure I didn't venture into actionnable territory.

  2. Blogger makes your link to the post the title of the post, which did not reflect the correction I had made.

It is a real pity about the comments. Feel free to read Steyn a second time and try again.

  3. Anyone notice the truncated vocabulary of the Right, in which new words like "beclown" and vapid cliches like "scratch a leftist" are passed around from hand to hand like the Graiai's one eye and tooth?

  4. Anyone notice the truncated vocabulary of the Right...

It's disturbing. Rightists are characterised not by their politics, but by the fact that language seems to mean nothing at all to them. Something has gone terribly wrong during their formative years, particularly with regard to language acquisition and processing.

    I'm quite serious about that.

  6. I don't think childishness is inherently conservative, but most "conservatives" these days are childish, especially at times when they should be serious.

Have you checked out The Conservative Party of Canada's web site lately?

You can continue to avoid examining that critically if you want, Narrow Back, but your "yeabbut wiberalz are childish two!" kind of proves the point, n'est-ce pas?

    And this...

"As the Tide commercial said “I can’t tell the difference. Can you tell the difference?”.

    Pots and kettles…"

...used to challenge an observation about a lack of rhetorical sophistication is an irony so delicious it's almost sexual.

    A little bit, yes.

I think this whole thing is out of control. Maybe some sort of "detente" should be considered. I can't think of one good thing that will come of an escalation.

  9. I have been advised to leave it in the hands of my legal council. Sorry, but will have to close comments on this.
