Virtual Boycott Kills Tory Ad Campaign?

The Harper Conservatives' plan to run anti-Liberal attack ads on mini-television screens at gas pumps in Southern Ontario is backfiring because the company that was to place them is refusing.

Did the Fuelcast Network kill their deal with the Tories because they sensed a rising fury in the Liberal Blogosphere? Who really knows, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

When confronted with a choice between History and Myth... print the Myth.

Sorry BCL - the myth won't take because the news is already reporting that Fuelcast folk saw the ads on CTV QP and were not pleased. That was about the same time that most of the rest of us really starting chatting about the ads.

Most billboard companies are very conservative (pun intended) when it comes to ads that could be considered controversial.

So you can certainly try to give credit to liblogs but anyone who knows media buying would say that Fuelcast attacked in ANTICIPATION of problems from any number of POTENTIAL sources. None were really ever required.

oops - not enough coffee - should have read Fuelcast acted not as written attacked (3rd graph). Guess the quality of the adds coloured my writing.

I really can't tell the difference between "conservative" humourlessness and Dipper humourlessness anymore.

Don't they have the proletariat to awaken, the means of production to nationalise or something to collectivise or anything?

Come to think of it, the last joke a Dipper cracked was when Audrey McLaughlin quipped that the hardest thing any guy on Parliament Hill had in his pocket was his cellphone.

    ...*sigh*

Never heard of a revenue neutral tax . . . when industry is taxed who pays? When individuals are taxed who pays?
Why the end consumer . . . me!!
Why are liberals to stupid to figure this out?
