Just Apologize

Sure, Rick Dykstra held the thing back until Dion showed up in town for maximum effect. Sure, its just a rehash of an old joke told many times about many different world leaders. Sure, if the Conservatives were seriously upset they would have, as Kinsella suggests, called in the police. But oh! what a stupid thing to put in a piece of campaign literature.

Say sorry, and it goes away after one day. Don't, and it stays an issue.

Stupid assassination joke is on page three of this.

Update: Apology made. Incident over

  1. Well, at least Dion is not "controlling" of his party like Harper is.........goodness knows that wouldn't help any.

  2. Why would Harper have to say it...he'd merely get Helena to blow operational security again and just make it happen.

    Right Jonathon?

  3. good one mike..........I'll take that with a grain of salt............at least we won't have to worry about Garth's big mouth though, we do clean house, and you guys can take the used sofa.

Seeing you want to play dodge ball rather then address how the libs would have reacted had it been coming from the cons, let us ask since when was security EVER a concern for the liberals???.........when it could score them cheap political points.

    Go hug a thug.

  4. Call a liberal a dog = 6 months of crying and coverage by the MSM.

Say you wish the prime minister and his wife were dead = 1 day and it over.

    Both were intended as jokes.

  5. I wonder how you human rights champions are going to take the news that Chretien and Martin both new about Omar Khadr's treatment.

How are you loons going to spin your way outta this one.

  6. Say you wish the prime minister and his wife were dead = 1 day and it over.

Makes sense. Most people I know don't think that's an outrageous statement. After all, Harper did support Canadian soldiers participating in an illegal invasion of Iraq to kill civilians and be themselves killed.

Seems Harper doesn't have much of problem sending other people to their deaths. And when faced with their deaths, he seems utterly unconcerned about showing them proper respect, as when he refused to permit the public to see the coffins of dead soldiers returning from Afghanistan.

Harper also decided that Canada would no longer advocate for clemency for Canadians abroad who've been sentenced to death.

Face it, Harper loves killing...worships it even.

  8. "Makes sense. Most people I know don't think that's an outrageous statement."

Of course not, you're friends are just like you, you loon.

"After all, Harper did support Canadian soldiers participating in an illegal invasion of Iraq to kill civilians and be themselves killed."

    Kill civilians, yeah right.

"Seems Harper doesn't have much of problem sending other people to their deaths"

    Either did Chretien and Martin.

"And when faced with their deaths, he seems utterly unconcerned about showing them proper respect, as when he refused to permit the public to see the coffins of dead soldiers returning from Afghanistan."

Everytime a soldier is killed in Afghstan, the coffins are on display on every single T.V station and newspaper. So Ti-Guy ,you're bullshitting again.

"Harper also decided that Canada would no longer advocate for clemency for Canadians abroad who've been sentenced to death."

Harper doesn't fight for criminals like libranos do. He fights for victims. You choose which is better.

"Face it, Harper loves killing...worships it even."

So does Chretien and Martin. After all, they knew Omar "terrorist" Khadr was being tortured and they did f-all to stop it.

Ti-Guy, you're a perfect example of the stupidity which inflicts 90% of Liberals.

I will be waiting all day so see how many libloggers are demanding a public inquiry as to why Chretien and Martin did nothing to stop Khadr from being tortured.

How long will I have to wait?

  11. Jonathon and the rest of the CPC supporter/loons - you conviently forget that info has come out about the US hiding info that wasn't out when the Liberals were in.

By the way - Libs knew in 2004 and were defeated after a year - Harper's had the "new" info, etc. for nearly 3 years now. Hmmm.....

Oh, but don't let a few facts get in the way of a CPC rant.

Hey, folks - doesn't Harper have a few outstanding apologies? Let's see - Navdeep Bains, calling Canadians who don't support the Afghan mission terrorist lovers - just for starters.

By the way folks - why do you put up Jonathon's rants - he goes all over the blogosphere with his stupid, uninformed, partisan rants.

Oh, another one - blabbylonian - same thing.

  12. Shorter Johnathon:

"If the Liberals made a mistake, it's okay for Harper to keep doing it."

Ah, that's what the Conservatives mean by LEADERSHIP....

I can't believe that a joke from a riding president is worthy of this much news.

But, Johnathon, you are right. If Harper, our Prime Minister said this, there would be lots of press.

  13. "blabbylonian"..........thats a good one actually. See, I am not always partisan.

I'm not swearing or cussing or using rude language.

And you want to silence me because I speak the truth.

Again, in 2004, the Libranos knew Khadr was being tortured.

Why is there no call for a full public inquiry as to why both Harper and Chretein/Dion did nothing to stop it.

Where are the screams for human rights and justice?

  18. I'll ask again.

Why are you human rights champions not demanding a full public inquiry into the torture of Omar Khadr.

James Curran, why are YOU not demanding a full 100 million dollar public inquiry for Omar Khadr.

Are you to afraid of the facts that will prove Chretien and Martin knew about the torture?

Is there a HIDDEN AGENDA here on behalf of the libranos?

What are the libranos trying to hide?

  20. As usual, Jonnie is off-topic spewing off the Con new of the day. Nothing to do whatsoever with the post at hand.

NOT SURE why you let this moron rant on BCL. I don't want to be inserting his name into any jokes or anything.
