Think About It

Some Gore bashing gone wrong:

Stanley Lewandowski, the general manager of the Intermountain Rural Electric Association, is one of the few utility officials willing to suggest that the prophet of global warming is strutting about like an emperor without his clothes. 'Al Gore's statement of obtaining 100 percent of our power from renewables in 10 years has as much a chance of happening as the sun shining 24 hours a day,' Lewandowski quipped. 'It's nonsense.'"

Firstly, the sun does shine 24 hours a day.

Secondly, there is actually a difference between the emperor having no clothes and the emperor strutting about without his clothes. The latter is called exhibitionism.

Thirdly, the Intermountain Rural Electric Association is best known for funding AGW Deniers. Consider the source.

  1. Dr David Evans former adviser to the OZ government on greenhouse matters debunks the warmers. Here's the money quote (hint:replace the words Labour government with Liberal government). The link to the full article is below but I doubt it will fit into the crappy blogger program.

"The world has spent $50 billion on global warming since 1990, and we have not found any actual evidence that carbon emissions cause global warming. Evidence consists of observations made by someone at some time that supports the idea that carbon emissions cause global warming. Computer models and theoretical calculations are not evidence, they are just theory.
What is going to happen over the next decade as global temperatures continue not to rise? The Labor Government is about to deliberately wreck the economy in order to reduce carbon emissions. If the reasons later turn out to be bogus, the electorate is not going to re-elect a Labor government for a long time. When it comes to light that the carbon scare was known to be bogus in 2008, the ALP is going to be regarded as criminally negligent or ideologically stupid for not having seen through it. And if the Liberals support the general thrust of their actions, they will be seen likewise.
The onus should be on those who want to change things to provide evidence for why the changes are necessary. The Australian public is eventually going to have to be told the evidence anyway, so it might as well be told before wrecking the economy."
Dr David Evans was a consultant to the Australian Greenhouse Office from 1999 to 2005.

  2. Come on bcl, just leave the sciency stuff to sciency people. Al Gore isn't one, so why would you believe him? And Suzuki is a biologist, why would you listen to him? Are you such a sheep that you are so easily lead around by anyone who CLAIMS to be an authority? Since it's not their scientific credentials, exactly what is it that makes you want to believe in AGW? Is your sense of smell impaired?

There's a rumour going around that Al Gore is promising to give up private jet travel and his huge houses and live a truly eco-friendly low carbon footprint lifestyle.

I have a bridge for sale as well.

    Hey ti-guy, welcome back.

I take it from your still juvenile level of comments that the operation to remove your head from up your arse end was a failure?

    Better luck next time
