I imagine they're just upset at the thought of some guys having two wives when Jason Kenney, Peter Mackay and John Baird can't even find one. Poor Petey has to hug the neighbour's dog and Johnny has to share Laureen Teskey with the PM.
Terrence, I thought there might be an anti-Muslim thing in there too, because of those recent stories in the TO newspapers (this summer I think it was).
While it's certainly true he would (and has) sell us out for a cheeseburger (OK, a few dozen cheeseburgers), we don't actually know that he's self-hating.
D'ya think they're worried that otherwise people might think they support it?
ReplyDeleteI wonder which slogan will work better for them.
Canada's Conservative Party - opposing polygamy since 2008
or
Canada's Conservative Party - we're only 118 years behind the Mormons in opposing polygamy.
Conservatives talking about fucking again. How novel.

ReplyDeleteIt looks like the anti-polygamy measure was a compromise between the "we-hate-homos" wing of the CPC and the "gays-just-make-us-uncomfortable" wing.
ReplyDeleteGood god, I wish social conservatives would stop being so ridiculous.

ReplyDeleteMr Baird is a self hating homosexual who'd sell out his own gay peers for another cheeseburger.
While it's certainly true he would (and has) sell us out for a cheeseburger (OK, a few dozen cheeseburgers), we don't actually know that he's self-hating.
ReplyDeleteOnly that he should be.
