If the Conservative minority government is defeated, what would be your preferred solution?
Holding a new federal election 32%
Allowing the opposition to form a coalition government (two or more parties are represented in the cabinet) 37%
Allowing the opposition to govern by accord (a party is supported by one or more parties that do not have representation in the cabinet) 7%
Not sure 24%
37+7. A little more definitive when looked at this way.
It was a strange breakdown, because that last question is just bizarre. But, you are right to add them up, and it isn't spin, because, the overwhelming number don't want an election, they favor giving someone else an opportunity to govern- that's the key thing to gleem from that finding.
ReplyDeleteThe last question is quite bizarre. My first impression was, what the hell does it mean?
ReplyDeleteWell, I figured out the last option out. It's essentially, the Coalition minus the NDP in cabinet (or minus Liberals in cabinet), something that so far has not been suggested at all.
ReplyDeleteWay to go, Angus-Reid.
