Interesting To See How This Pans Out

These guys are planning demonstrations against the "Separatist led coup" on Saturday. More information at their Facebook page. Seems to be organized by a lady named Andrea Walker, who I have never heard of.

Interesting to see what kind of numbers they can draw.

  1. Seems to be an error on that website, it's really a rally for Harper, which is NOT at all the same as a rally for Canada!!

  2. Has a pro-Saddam, after the invasion, feel to it.

A government that operated with voter apathy as a central core tenet, now puts it's last chance in a "rising".

  3. Stephen Taylor twittering for it.

Twitter, Stephen! Twitter like you've never twittered in your entire life. The fate of Harperstan is at stake!

I hope you'll live the rally at QP, BCL.

  5. Robson Square, December 6, check. Ah, what time? When do Cons usually get out of bed on a Saturday, anyway?

  6. Saturday? By then Harper should be able to join them, what with him being a private citizen holding down no government job and all.

  7. BTW, there's a REAL rally for Canada on Thursday.

    Make Parliament Work
    Rally for a coalition government

    Where: Parliament Hill
    When: December 4, noon
    More info: 613.560.5457
    www.MakeParliamentWork.ca

    -----------------------------------Rallies also planned for:
Vancouver, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Ottawa, St. John's, Halifax, Charlottetown, Moncton
    -----------------------------------

The Conservative government introduced an economic and fiscal
statement last week that failed to provide economic relief for
Canadians or any measures to get the economy back on track.

The Harper government is also committed to trampling workers' rights and women's rights to pay equity.

Canadians need a government that shows leadership.

The opposition parties are acting in a responsible manner. They are
not going to force another costly and time-consuming election. Instead the Liberals and the NDP are planning to form a coalition government, with the support of the Bloc Québecois in the House of Commons, to get this Parliament to address the economic crisis in a way that benefits workers and their families.

Let's support a coalition government that will get us through this economic crisis.

TAKE ACTION. Visit http://makeparliamentwork.ca/ to send a letter to your MP, download posters and find out more info about demos being planned across the country.

  8. Gee, I would like to go to this rally, but although I have no children, I am still a hardworking Canadian who does not have time for protests.

Bravo, you remember Harper's musings about protests.

  10. Reality Bites, make sure you highlight the role of the Bloq in your REAL rally.

Yes, let's all rally for a coalition govt whose every decision will depend on the consent of the Bloq. Good thinking. Brilliant strategy. Average Canadians will love it!

This whole episode is rapidly descending into farce on the part of the opposition parties.

As has been stated before, be careful what you wish for.
