NDP's Dirty Little Secret

According to this guy, they agree with the Tory attack ads.

O! what a sorry bunch.

(But, on the other hand, it gives an insight into who the real target of these ads might be--down-market types.)

  1. Politics is a game. When the Liberals decide to defeat the government, the NDP or Bloc will find a way to support the government.

Oh yes, don't expect an election until many of the current MPs have completed six-years in office. Then it's pension time.

Thanks for giving an insight into Liberal class prejudice.

  3. Wow Stephen, talk about generalizations. Care to make a blanket prejudiced statement about another group while you're "hot"?

  4. How about a generalization about people who didn't read the original post?

Or the article it was based on?

  5. I have usually voted NDP and I for one was appalled at the nature of the ads and posted a parody using Gandhi on youtube to that effect. The ads are bigoted and I believe that there is no place for them in Canadian political discourse. And if Layton at some point moves to help the government survive I will say he's a hypocrite and acting in an unprincipled manner. It is rich, however, how many Liberals are eager to attack Layton for hypothetical vote that hasn't even taken place, but were content to stay silent while Dion kept the Harper Government alive all those months, or they became apologists for these actions, suggesting that they were purely strategic.

I believe partisanship is the root of all the evils that we are dealing with here - from what ever party it emerges.

  6. No problem Stephen. Fire away. I await your stereotypes. Your self-righteous indignation reminds me of Doctor Smith from Lost in Space.

  8. If Layton wants to be another Obama so badly, he should be condemning the ads, but hey, it's a freebie for NDP. They don't have to spend money to attack - suck up to Cons and play little games because Layton is brave and bold when the onus isn't on him.

  9. I think it's amusing to read Dippers criticizing Tories for negative ads. That's been Layton's stock in trade since Martin was PM. Sanctimonious hypocrites.
