Unfortunately, I wouldn't cheer too hard at Ms. Raitt's troubles. Centrist, non-knuckle dragging, sophisticated blond women are what the Tories need more of.
I have the misfortune of living in Ms. Raitt's riding, so I'll cheer louder than anyone if she goes down. It's not that she's done anything bad to Halton - it's that she hasn't done anything at all. She doesn't call, she doesn't write, and she doesn't answer emails. Ever.
I'd really like to have a real MP again instead of just a spokesperson for the Conservative Party of Canada.
No ever steps down quickly when it comes to the Harpies. It's a firm position they've taken and, unfortunately, it's working for them. The lazy media prefers a sensational act such as that to actual reporting.
