  1. I guess its the Liberlas fault for talking up those checks. Killed job creation is what it did.

Tories and stimulus in the same paragraph are complete anancronisms.

  2. Perhaps we should hire more sign installers coast to coast to coast?

What if we hire Artists to create individual novelty cheques to help promote culture?

We could ask those 5-7 bristol board protestors outside Tim Hortons about their job creation ideas.

A shame the opposition refuses to use their opposition days to offer up any alternatives for voters or opposition MP's to support.

  3. It's the job of the government to come up with the ideas, Canadian (Non) Sense. So far, their idea has been to hand out disproportionate stimulus to their own Conservative held ridings.

If you want an opposition suggestion, here's one: spend more money in other ridings that aren't held by the Cons. That might help.

  4. Ah Oakville Crackpot, consistently blind and arrogant as usual. Keep on wanking, it seems to be the only thing you know how to do.

    Yeah, we're all weeping.

It's a bigger shame that Canada has been saddled with an inept government as a consequence of the decision made by 22% of the eligible electorate.

Now get a wetnap and clean yourself up, CS. You're crusting over.

  6. You don't expect actual facts to come in the way of Con BS do you?

CanadianSense is working overtime trying to defend what can't be defended.

Either he doesn't work or he's being paid to be a Con troll.

  7. I don't know. He sounds like a lot of people these days, in that the only reason to participate in a discussion is to "win" it. Not to persuade, not to inform, not to educate, not to entertain (God forbid, no). but simply to win.

And that's if I dismiss completely the compunction on the part of many people to simply irritate others, something known as trolling. Only because I've never met anyone in real life (apart from adolescents) who's ever admitted to persistent trolling.

  8. I am very familiar with the role of the opposition. Playing the victim and whiner is working out?

No one likes to listen to negative comments that are baseless, distortions and just plain silly.

Scott your "parrot" the LPOC does not make those points stick.

The Polls clearly demostrate who is winning the public relations war for voters.

Again Scott please keep calling the governmen names, evil republicans, uncaring SOB's.

    It will work out!

  9. Canadian nonsense I see I'm not the only one who knows you are a crackpot... a tory one to boot. I continue to hear your own MP even thinks you are nuts.

anything you comment on is a joke as is your appearance on another blog as "brusmit"

  10. I am very familiar with the role of the opposition.

No you're not. You don't even understand that the process is fundamentally adversarial. That's why it's called "the Opposition."

That's OK..we all know you've only become recently acquainted with Western democracy.

  11. TG,

providing a link is pointless on the official role of the loyal opposition. The current smear strategy is working out VERY well. As the intellingsa brigade with wisdom how is the "plan" going?

Only 10% back to the October 2008 support levels (historic lows), $ 2 million on Narnia ADS saw 3% drop for Liberals.

Please parrot the LPOC. Don't change. That is not a cliff, not an iceberg.

Instead of looking in the mirror.

20 Active Lib Bloggers, 40 Liberal Posters are going to "fix" the party.

    Cheers!

    Are you Estonian?

  13. "That's OK..we all know you've only become recently acquainted with Western democracy."

That could be CS's problem Ti-Guy. I guess he figures that since Iggy's of Russian ancestry, he should adopt the Russian model of government protocol. Four parties elected to the Duma, and all four support Putin.

Yes that's a great model, the Libs, NDP and BQ should just offer alternative ideas for Harper to cherry pick, because pure opposition just lowers their poll numbers ...the public really hates it when they make disparaging remarks against our fearless, infallible, dear leader.

By the way CS, Harper's poll numbers really sucked too for most of the Adscam affair. Good thing for him that he never took your advice on roll of the official opposition within a Westminster parliament.

  14. My standard response to poll numbers is...22% of the illegible electorate. 25% and Harper's in majority territory.

This is probably what CS thinks is democracy also.

  15. I had to go the Ekos site, download the full report and check the tiny footnote at the bottom of page 3 to find that out. It's not reported anywhere else.-TG

Checking Polls that don't matter, you lack credibility because you are not consistent.

??? What was that post aboutt?

    The Role of the Opposition

In Canada, the party with the greatest number of elected representatives that is not the governing party becomes Her Majesty’s Loyal Opposition. This party takes the lead in holding the Government accountable for its policies and actions. The leader of this party becomes the leader of the Official Opposition, sitting directly across from the Prime Minister. The duty of the Official Opposition and other opposition parties is to “challenge” government policies and suggest improvements, and present an alternative to the current Government’s policy agenda.

Opposition members have various opportunities to influence the formulation of laws and policies, including the daily Question Period in the House of Commons. The Opposition is allocated 20 “Opposition Days” or “Supply Days” each calendar year when it can propose a motion for debate and criticize the Government on issues of broad national policy. Members of opposition parties also serve on parliamentary committees in both the Senate and the House of Commons.

In the Senate, the Opposition often plays a less partisan role. The Leader of the Opposition in the Senate leads the Opposition in debate, coordinates its daily activities and confers with the Leader of the Government in the Senate on its business. The Leader of the Opposition, like the Leader of the Government, is an ex officio member of all standing committees and helps coordinate party strategy.

Liberals are using the Senate to delay Bills. They won't stand up and vote against the CPC.

The opposition "talk" alot ideas but refuse to HOLD the CPC to ACCOUNT or remove confidence.

The problem is YOUR own party is not doing their jobs.

The opposition days could be used to introduce alternative policies and make them matters of Confidence.

Some Liberals stood up against the NDP/Bloc on an environmental Bill.

The Opposition Parties are fighting amongst themselves.

You're too dumb to be Estonian.

I always check things to make sure I'm getting complete information. As to what these polls mean my previous comment sums it up quite nicely.

And since you got red-assed about it, I must conclude that that truth really hurts.

  17. TG,

Do you understand your inconsistentcy is consistent with your bouts of heavy drinking?

You are spending time to debunk Polls that don't matter to you. A brilliant feat in and outside Narnia!

    Bravo!

Perhaps you can also bring up to speed on the Vanoc-Torch CPC Relay conspiracy!

The CPC must have a double agent inside the Liberals.

  18. Raw nerve?

Family history: problem of heavy drinking?

Based on the Giant Novelty Cheques and a 10% gap behind the CPC I can understand why.....

Try TG he is interested in strange activities maybe you two can hookup.

  22. So, in other words, you have no proof.

    Just as I thought.

Sad little you thinks insulting me actually disguises the fact you are making things up. That only works in BT land. In Liblog land making things up does not make you look informed.

Though it's cute you think you are clever. Try again.
