Love the passive voice there. `Because Parliament was prorogued'. You know - act of nature, not something that was actually done by anyone in particular. Like when I was three, explaining that somehow `the lamp got broked'.
Gosh, I sure hope that those sneaky Ignatieff and Layton don't do anything that would imperil this bill!
Buckets, you're right. I thought though that the real action this year was going to be in the Senate. I THOUGHT it only went back to the HOC for one more final vote, not more committee work. In which case, whats the point of this?
As a (former) gun owner I really have never figured out what the bitch is about the gun registry. It's a tax people, just like registering your car. And like registering you car, the list can be useful to the police. If you really have to worry about the Government coming to take away your long guns, it's way past the time to worry about that and time to start resisting - in cells and like that.
The horror! The horror!
ReplyDeleteAll jokes aside, I wish the CTF the best of luck with this. Ignatieff sending a favourable MP seems like a possibility. Forget about Layton.

I think CTF is advocating stacking Commons committees not Senate committees

ReplyDeleteWhoops! I was wrong! It has to go through house committees before getting even close to the Senate:
