Tomorrow's News Today

Holland is talking about the Seaway International Bridge Crisis, natives have been protesting armed guards at a bridge that runs across the U.S./ Canada border through Akwesasne. Since Vic Toews took over public safety, the locals have been waiting for him to step in and do something about the issue. He hasn't, and apparently doesn't want anyone else to either.

  1. Did you spell "tomorrow" wrong on purpose, or are you tapping into your inner conservative?

  2. Actually, BCL, the event took place in my riding (Compton-Stanstead) and Toews office unilaterally cancelled a tour of local CBSA installations the day before they were to take place...

  3. Isn't Toews one of those "citizens of convenience" I keep reading about?

  4. William, posted a link. So Seaway Bridge does play a part in this story, right?

  5. BCL, may or may not, depending on how you link the two. Do they want to piss off Mark Holland before he goes on the bridge issue? Anyways, Toews office said in the local french media this morning that they never intervened in the visit schedule, which is crap. But for me to be able to destroy their assertions, I have to expose a bureaucrat to the minister's office - something I am not willing to do given what we know about Cons and bureaucrats...
