No Word On The Number Of Busty Hookers...

...but one salad

roasted tomato with lollo rosso bouquet, tomato vinaigrette, manchego frico, avocado mousse and sherry gastrique

...at Sassafraz restaurant, where Helena Guergis dined with Nazim Gillani, the financier at the centre of the Jaffer affair, will run you $14. And the "rare Bluefin Tuna" costs you $35. Sweet. Eating a threatened species.

I wonder who wound up footing the bill?

  2. And here they try to make you think they are the "Timmies" kind of folks.

According to Jane Taber this is a popular hang out for those Tim Horton Conservative MP's. This is where Lisa Raitt hangs out - remember the kerfuffle about it/campaign stuff which was challenged by Olivia Chow.

    A different kind of Timbits

Did anybody see any brown paper bags full of money?

  4. Well I think Guergis is more of an endangered species than the tuna, actually.

Careful dude, Sheila Frasier's studying the audit trails of all that EAP spending as we speak. Her official AG report is due in the fall. With all that pork doled out so fast, if I were you I'd hold my tongue about spending scandals until after her report.

Guergis herself somehow diverted $250K to a private religious school for a soccer field (as opposed to spending it on public projects like the local YMCA, who had funding rejected). Collingwood municipal officials have no idea how the private school got on the radar, let alone got ahead of the town's EAP funding requests.

Plenty of fishy spending in Nova Scotia too, including MacKay's riding.

I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg, probably plenty more of our tax dollars are going out to CPofC-friendly businesses, and special interests.

I'm pretty sure this version of it comes in a little baggie and has a white powdery finish.

You can obfuscate and distract PK but it isn't working. Influence peddling isn't really minor is it?

Go ahead PK get angry, get outraged. Stomp your feet on the ground and shout "but the Liberals! Adscam!" We expect such behaviour from you.

Don't drag Mulroney into this, PK.

Liberals ten points down in the polls, Canada's economy leading the OECD nations, record drop in bankruptcy filings, jobless rate improving . . . . adds up to our media focusing on this story, which for the moment, is allegations fueled with political smear & bluster.

Go kiddies go . . . have fun.

  9. Fred, I wouldn't get too excited. It's the usual CanWest poll that puts Harper higher when he is dropping.

C'mon Fred - 0 undecideds? Something fishy don't you think?

  10. C'mon Fred - 0 undecideds? Something fishy don't you think?>

Since they couldn't make up their minds, someone made it for them. Happens all the time. ;)

  11. Oh Fred, you're such a lightweight.

Lets go back to the end of 2005 when Canada's economy was red-hot and we were leading the G8. Unemployment levels were at modern lows. National debt was being paid off with big surplussed each year, with a $12-billion contingency fund in case of a recession. And at the helm, Paul Martin, the man who got Canada into that enviable position was PM. How the hell did he loose the election in 2006?

    Transparency and accountability.

Fred, stop trying to tell Canadian voters what issues are important to them. Transparency & accountability matter, and they will be Harper's downfall - MARK MY WORDS.

PS - Oh and please keep bringing up the 10+ year old sponsorship affair in the next election, of which Iggy has as much to do with it as Harper has in Mulroney's Airbus scandal. Ya keep fighting the 2006 election buddy!!!

  12. Do they have public internet access at Fred's liquor store? That could explain a lot about his comments.

  13. Are there two idiots named Fred?

They're all "Freds." Every last wingnut sounds exactly like every other.

It's the most astonishing thing about these people. For supposed individualists and free thinkers, I've never seen such conformity of belief and opinion. And it's not just when they troll, either. All their blogs and mainstream media op-eds are drearily uniform.

These people aren't Conservatives. They're a processed, citizen-like product brought to us courtesy of Wal-Mart and CanWest-Global.

  14. So I guess these tory trolls, are all monosyllabic sycophants, who pray at the all things tory altar.

Sleep walking through life, waiting for their instructions from Tory central everyday.

Cut and paste experts, who add not one redeeming quality to any debate.

All National Post readers, who can't think for themselves.

Tis true, they all sound the same.

The shame of it all, is well they have no shame.

  15. All National Post readers..

    ..and hate-radio listeners.

And those are the informed ones. A big swathe of them are people who are just angry that citizenship and democracy impose an obligation to care about something other than their "stuff."

Half of my "Conservative" voting relatives (I, of course, don't have friends who vote Conservative) are like that. You can't even start discussing politics without them ranting, despite being complete know-nothings.

  16. Well, there's a Fred in Brandon who keeps dumping mounds of shit all over the internet. Not sure if he's found this site yet.

  17. I have another question:

I have come across quite a few morons who post on the net.

    Who are your top Five?

    Mine are as follows:

    1. Rotterdam

    2. Canadian Sense

    3. Mahmoud

    4. Fred from BC

    5. Wayne (tied with Bocanut)

    ReplyDelete
  18. Who are your top Five?

    1. Wilson
    2. Prairie Kid
    3. CanadianSense
    4. Wayne
    5. Paul S.

It's not necessarily the degree of moronishness that lands them in my top 5, but their longetivity, persistence, range (they troll everywhere) and lastly, their complete and total uselessness.

People who I suspect are clinically deranged don't make my list, although you do have to be psychologically imbalanced on some level to troll at all.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I don't know about Wilson.

I do detect some good faith on his part. He just enjoys posting what he thinks is brilliance, even though it is bullshit.

I would also add the following,

    6. Mary "T"
    7. Bec
    8. Langmann
    9. Bubba
    10.Rat

There, I made it a top ten list.
So I could probably add another 50-100 names to it.

  20. I do detect some good faith on his part. He just enjoys posting what he thinks is brilliance, even though it is bullshit.

Wilson's a *she* And she ranks up there for longetivity. She used to troll under Wilson61.

To get true measure of her good faith, you should read what she writes on Boggin' Toree blogs. A nasty piece of work.

I don't think MaryT should count. I believe she is genuinely developmentally delayed. She also doesn't troll Liberal blogs.

I have no problem with the wingnuts if they just stay in their sandboxes, where their crap is welcome.

I don't visit the BT sites. I tried a couple of times, and then I gave up. Too much filth and lies.

I had a debate with Wilson, a few weeks ago, and she seemed all right.

She had all her facts wrong, and she lost the argument, but she kept insisiting she was right.

Now I know her history, I will give her all the respect she deserves, which is none.

I have noticed "Mary T" straying a bit, so I would keep an eye on that thing.

I guess Langmann and Bec, stay in their own swamp where they belong.

Same here. Gave up long ago.

  23. As for the Freds: there are at least 2 of them: Fred from BC and there's Fred "Gay and Right" Litwin.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Bubba isn't that bad Sir Gallahad, and I wouldn't call him a troll. Of course like most from the prairies he's been brainwashed into the us/them - East/West - Urban/Rural - Lib/Con crap to the extent that it's impossible for him to break out from a sectarian mindset, but at least he debates honestly enough.

    My top-5 Reformatory trolls:
    5) Fred from BC
    4) Rat
    3) Rotterdam
    2) wilson
    and the absolute worst...
    1) CanadianSense

The other 4 are your typical garden variety trolls who comb ALL the indie and media blogs, then proceed to spread their butt-cheeks wide and dump hot, steaming turds all over the other commentary. They are too busy hopping from site to site to linger. But CS sticks around (like herpes) and after you’ve intelligently refuted each one of her original stupid assertions – she goes on to post 5-10 new incredibly dumb and unrelated points that all, of course, solely blame the LPC for all that is wrong in the world. In other words the classic “If you can dazzle them with your brilliance, baffle them with your bullshit” strategy. I think CS would be tops in Ti-Guy’s longetivity, persistence & range metric, except that most sites have caught on and censor CanadianSense’s stupidity …including BCL (thanks dude!)

  25. TofKW,

We kind of had a similar list.

I found it amusing yesterday, over at Far and Wide, when Fred from BC, used an Ad hominem attack, to condemn an Ad Hominem attack.

    Oblivious to his own stupidity.

I agree CS, is probably the worst, she is completely incoherent, and makes not one lick of sense.

I haven't read her crap as much in the last few days, has she been banned from every site, except the BT ones?
