A Poll For The Freeping

Do you think Canada should fund abortion services as part of a G8 initiative to improve the health of mothers in poor countries?

Sure its a pointless on-line poll. And, sure, if you rush over there and vote now, and the Globe reports the result as through it had really done a scientific sample, then you will have advanced a political agenda by aiding the spread of an untruth. So? Life's funny that way! What, did you trust fall off the back of a turnip truck?

PS. Doesn't look like you can vote twice just by deleting cookie files. Good thing, because that would be wrong.

  1. You should just let the wingnuts go to town. When they manage to drive support for their position up to 97% (which, being wingnuts intent on creating their own reality, they cannot help but do) the uselessness of the poll becomes undeniable.

Or something like that. I don't care. The Harpies position is doomed to fail. Harper will not be able to handle the international embarrassment of blatantly using international policy for domestic political purposes, which will be evident to everyone, since Canada funds abortions domestically.

  2. It has been noted women who live in poor countries are likely to be raped by their fathers, brothers and whom ever else in their communities especially in Africa....CBC's The Current April 26. These women don't want to carry such a pregnantcy and who can blame them. However, if abortion is not available to them, they seek out what ever means they can to abort. Every eight minutes a woman dies from botched abortion. What a way to keep the population down. Is Harper appeasing religious groups in this country such as the RC Church in order to gain their votes? This is the 21st Century isn't it?
