Probably the Grits, because Kinsella's been eating at that place for eons.
BTW - I'll take that it's OK from you in the future for the Libs to put big red 'L's on government merit awards, and for them to use parliamentary letterhead for Liberal party fund-raising purposes.
Do you have any idea what a hypocritical slime you are?
@ Sixth Estate : please elaborate -- is it a different one from that restaurant, that combines a Parliamentary title & crest w. the party logo? That's be very useful to no... details, please.
The restaurant prominently displays the award certificate on its website. Owner Sam Fung said he doesn't get involved much in politics. He usually votes Liberal but is now leaning Conservative because of the award, which he said has been good for business.
"They seem to be doing a better job than the Liberals these days," said Fung. "The Liberals never did this kind of thing."
Better not print this or it will upset your palls.
Actually, I'm embarrassed to say that it's the very same restaurant, and I had somehow confused the name (i.e. I thought it was not Yang Sheng, but another restaurant). Sorry to get your hopes up.
I'm not sure which would be worse: a genuine series of ministerial awards to businesses (with an unacceptable but typical partisan bent), or a fake, one-off award, which it appears to be.
There's one of those certificates a block from my house. I didn't really think about it until now.
ReplyDeleteOne side gives praise for merit and the other gives backhand insults. Guess who the owner is going to vote for.
ReplyDeleteI used to live like five minutes from that place. Noticed that, with its giant transparent C logo, right away.
ReplyDeleteNice touch, I thought.
"the other gives backhand insults. "
ReplyDeleteIs Ridenrain running for political office?
The party of non-substance Im guessing.
