Glacier Collapse In Jasper National Park

Global warming comes to Jasper National Park?
The circled area shows the bit that fell off.  Turns out this post from yesterday was correct, but named the wrong glacier.   From CTV:

Parks Canada said a large amount of glacial ice fell from the side of Mt. Edith Cavell and into a pond at the base of the mountain early Friday morning.

The pond overflowed and flooded the upper parking lots, outhouses, trails, roads and a picnic area.

[...]

Parks Canada says “unusual weather conditions have resulted in several uncommon natural events in Jasper this summer.”

Including this week's mudslide, apparently.

  2. Ah it's only one little iceberg. Nothing to worry about, err well probably nothing.
