Jobs, Jobs, Jobs That Tim Hudak Would Kill

Green Ones, too:

Niagara Region Wind Corporation is on a recruitment drive as it gears up for one of the largest wind turbine projects in Canada.

It estimates it and its suppliers will require about 770 workers until the construction phase is complete by 2014.

After that, it’s expected to employ about 110 to maintain the structures.

But, give us a PCPO government under Tim Hudak and they'll all be gone and the province will have paid $1,000,000s to kill them.

  1. Typical big L liberal who puts the big business interests first and people and wildlife last. Check out this article and ask yourself if you're still proud of your Liberal affiliations. http://www.lfpress.com/2013/01/07/energy-company-removes-bald-eagle-nest-to-make-way-for-wind-turbine-in-haldimand-county Anyone who supports this Bald Eagle nest removal is a phony environmentalist!
There are only 57 Bald eagle nests in Southern Ontario. Why did one of them have to be removed to make room for a wind turbine? It certainly wasn’t about saving the environment. It’s all about the money folks and anyone who says different is either a fool or a liar.

  2. The title would be more accurate if it read "Birds, Birds, Birds That Dalton McGuinty Would Kill"

  3. Samsung made a similar, much ballyhooed announcement (2010) as well. They made a promise of 1000 jobs.To date, the London facility hasn't been built, and the other 3 in Toronto, Windsor and Tilsonburg are running at about 10% capacity. What with the recent WTO ruling, those facilities may never reach potential. This is a far cry from the 50,000 , no wait 20,000 , no, do I hear 16,000 green jobs from this idiotic program. Proof that it's going the other way, DMI Industries in Fort Erie that manufactured turbine towers shut it's doors for good last July. What is repugnant is that the government puffed up this industry, got desperate people thinking there was viable employment, knowing full well it was doomed.
