CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Oct. 23, 2009) - On behalf of the Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry, the Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of the Environment and Minister responsible for Southern Alberta, today announced the Government of Canada's investment of more than $300 000 to support the 2009 Grey Cup Championship Game and Festival as part of the Marquee Tourism Events Program.
We all know the problems associated with the MTE Program. And, hey! Guess where Grey Cup 2009 is being held? Hint: its in a Tory-held riding.

FYI, Paul. Desmogblog has a post up to remind its readers of its commenting policies. I figured you'd appreciate the heads up.
Anyway, as if Calgarians need another reason for public debauch.
It's $300,000 BCL. Besides, adding in the $10,000,000,000 or $6,500,000,000 amount that GM and Chrysler received in their unprecedented assistance, and it is Ontario who has gotten special consideration
Didn't I tell you already that 3.5 billion of that comes from Ontario taxpayers?
wv: fetslags...Now, Blogger, that's not a nice thing to call Paul's female relatives...
Your bias is showing. Gay men can be just as big and just as sweaty as straight men. It's possible than sonme of the ball players you are highlighting may be gay!
Add in the $2 million in federal funding Calgary received for the stampede and that's quite the haul for them this year.
Did Montreal receive any government money when it hosted the GC in 2008?
