ReplyDeleteWill nobody think of the children of Lethbridge?
ReplyDeletelol, im reveling, and i dont feel guilty and for the folks who need a job, they will love their next gig as it wont involve sharing a bathroom with ezra:)
ReplyDeleteWell, Mound of Sound, I think one of Warren Kinsella's nicest characteristics (and I am sure only one of many) is that he is loyal to his colleagues. I would think much less of him if he worked for Sun News and then rejoiced in their end (and unemployment). One can ask whether he should have worked for them in the first place, but once he started working for them, it is pretty vital that he wish good things for his colleagues.
ReplyDeleteYes, Nit, I think loyalty is one of his strong suits, perhaps the strongest. I'm in constant awe.
ReplyDeleteMound of Sound, if that is snarky, I fully deserve the snark.:-) But I should emphasise that the loyalty I think is important is only to his colleagues (and not to Sun News as a whole).
ReplyDeleteIn academia, the worst sort of person is the one who gets a position in a university and then spends his or her time mocking the university as a low quality hole of no value. Now, I have absolutely zero problem with mocking the administration, but one should always be loyal and supportive to colleagues and students.
While I certainly feel sorry for the 200 plus employees, good riddance to Ezra Levant and the fake news machine of Sun News. As you say, it is a political porn site, not a media outlet, and not a useful contributor to any sort of political debate.
Hooray! The spectrum of discourse has narrowed!
