First Tory Scandal!

Everybody has been writing about this today, but Somena Media seems to have the real good dope. Bottom line:

Not only did CPoC members know that their party's convention registration fee was a donation to the party, they explicitly state it was a fundraiser, they organized a way to also have their personal expenses (their extra personal expenses of travel, logding, meals etc.) also become political donations.

Someone in Toryland is in a wee spot of shit.

(And you could use a spell-checker, Somena)

  1. ya, I know. I would use the Blogger spell check on my posts but I have disabled pop-ups which disables the spell checker.

Leaving that aside, Walks-With-Coffee has archives of CPOC internal email discussions going back a long time. He was a CPOC member in good standing until 4 months or so before the election, but quit because he did not like the on-going bigotry within his own EDA and the insouciance towards it by the upper management of the party.

There's plenty more where these emails come from. Dozens of emails discussing expenses of the convention and indeed, even discussion about the PROFITS made from the Convention by CPOCers before and after.

He's dead serious about being willing to provide the thus far unattributed emails with names and headers from that time to any journalist from any publication in Canada that wants it.

He does not want to publish names of the people on the list-serv because he doesn't want these people to be bothered or harrassed by angry BT Trollitariats who may try to intimidate or smear them- as we've seen happen before when names have been released.

    FIRST TORY SCANDAL???

    What about Emerson?
    What about Fortier?
    What about the Health Minister?
    What about the Environment Minister?
What about the Softwood Lumber deal/no deal?

What is scandalous is that there isn't more coverage about the other scandals; but money talks, so here we are at an accountability impasse.
Personally, if I were in the House I'd give the Tories the one-armed salute they glossed over, or say, "Fuck, you guys" paying particular attention to where I placed the comma.
