Jeez, it only has 277 employees. Big deal. I'm sure they can find work at Tim Horton's. It's the least Harpy can do for them for carrying his water all those years.
I'll wait until Lyin' Lorne Gunter actually loses his job before I start cheering. At such time there will be no need to put quotes around "cheering". Why do you hate Canada so much that you want Lorne Gunter to continue lying to Canadians, CausticAnusScents?
Good point, Mark. Judgements rendered by the Market Almighty should be recieved with cheers of gratitude. Why does CausticAnusScents hate The Free Market?
Even Christie Blatchford agreed that The Post started losing its appeal when its robust conservative challenge to the Canadian Liberal/liberal status quo became insufferably anti-Canadian.
Conflict sharpens writing, but that sharpness was co-opted early by right wing crankiness, which only got dumber as the culture itself dumbed down. And, as we all know from the trolls, crankiness and ignorance are a toxic, dreary mix.
FrankD - old Izzie Asper was a Liberal. His son is an absolute right wing conservative. Hmmmm...the Aspers were in the audience watching Harper play the piano with all those other rich folks....not worrying about their staff much.
It must be me, but it sounds like your are "cheering" Canadians losing their jobs.
ReplyDeleteAs Peter Mansbridge asked our PM are you sure you want to ......
It appears that I am. Report me to the patriotism police.
ReplyDeleteAkin, not Akins.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeff. See you at the wing ding next Sat.
ReplyDeleteDon't count the NP out yet. My guess is that the Court will approve merger
ReplyDeleteIt must be me, but it sounds like your are "cheering" Canadians losing their jobs.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the ones responsible for this mess will fail upwards. They have jobs for life.
Anyway, thanks for ruining the Schadenfreude, Crackpot.
I won't celebrate fully until it actually happens.
Thanks for the good news. That hate rag can't die fast enough.

I feel as bad about people at National Post losing their joba as much as canadianSense cares about a public servant losing theirs.
ReplyDeleteThe NP went into decline after it was taken over by the Aspirators, all good Liberals BTW. It lost the edge it had under founder Connie Black. RIP.

ReplyDeleteNot really. The current generation are Conservative supporters. Big hint -- they transported
Harper around the GTA in a corporate helicopter.
"Not really. The current generation are Conservative supporters. Big hint -- they transported"
ReplyDeleteOf course. You can't trust a conservative with money. They bottomed out a country, so a paper should have been nothing to mess up.
Just look at how fiscally responsible they were with a corporate helicopter. I bet they wish they had some of what that cost right about now.
It was always losing money under Lord Tubby.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm not celebrating the potential loss of jobs. If it does happen, I will be celebrating yet another victory for the free market.
I'm sure the journo-miscreants will be slimed out to other CanWest dailies.
ReplyDeleteGood point, Mark.

ReplyDeleteThe Graspers rose to their feet and applauded like trained seals when Harper got on stage.
