Stephen Harper: Putting Canada BACK On The World Stage

NNW Insider: NNW has learned that Don Cherry has agreed to represent Canada at this month's royal wedding in Endland. Yesterday, PM Harper sent his regrets to Prince William and Kate Middleton, saying that he will be unable to attend their wedding, due to election timing.

Usually at these things people talk about what the bride is wearing...

In Vaughan, Its That 70s Show

I know who I'd vote for today (Dryden's guy--Genco), but back then I hated Dryden's guts, just as I hated the guts of everyone on the Montreal Canadians teams from the 1970s. Chicago should have won that game 7, goddamnit! And it was Dryden was the only reason that they didn't.

I cried on the bus to school next morning. I'm not ashamed to say it.

PS. D'you know how hard it is to find a picture of Don Cherry actually playing hockey? Back in the day, nobody had ever heard of him. Lot's of pictures from later on though, of him wearing pink ties. Which is OK. Some men look good in pink. I'm just saying.

Incidentally, I would have no problem with Don Cherry being so honoured; he qualifies as a Canadian treasure, if only for his outfits (and believe me some have been given the award for less). However, the notion of Mark Steyn getting any kind of prize (except maybe for gayest facial hair) is repulsive. I know he doesn't live in the country anymore, but can't we deport him in advance as a precautionary measure?

Although I must admit to being a fan of Jacque Demers. If you're old enough to remember what he accomplished with all those crap 80's teams in the Snorris division, you would be too. They said he was doing it "with mirrors" (little pun on his name there).
