A Negotiation is a Negotiation, says Michael Wilson
In trying to explain where $1,000,000,000 stolen from Canada and redistributed to the American lumber lobby went, Ambassador Michael Wilson said that "A Negotiation is a Negotiation." Can anyone explain what that means? He sounds a bit like Chretien, doesn't he?

It is nice to our stolen money is going to a good cause, unlike the stolen sponsorship funds, which just went to make sure greaseball Librano troughing pigs get to drive expensive cars.
At least the money stayed in Canada.
From a CTV news story dated Nov. 18, 2005 concerning statements Paul Martin made to Bush at the summit in Korea:
"...Ottawa broke off negotiations this summer after the U.S. refused to respect a NAFTA decision that found U.S. tariffs on Canadian softwood lumber to be in violation of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Ottawa is insisting that the United States return at least $3.5 billion Cdn of some $5 billion in duties collected from Canadian lumber companies..."
And Harper managed to get $4 billion US...
Gee, what a difference a new government makes...
a large amount of this money is going to fund reconstruction for the Hurricane Katrina destruction.
And, as Layton said in the house yesterday, since the US lumber industry is using our money, shouldn't Canadians have had a say in it?
Charitable works, my ass. They'll donate money to reconstruction and write it off on their tax returns.
