As a bit of news, this is getting old, but MSNBC's "Daily Nightly" from Monday gives some interesting information on how indebted Israel is to the U.S. for the state of its military machine and civilian economy. It links to an especially interesting paper by the World Policy Institute whose title says it all: "U.S. Military Assistance and Arms Transfers to Israel: U.S. Aid, Companies Fuel Israeli Military".
Bottom line: if the Bush administration wanted the current war to stop, they could simply collapse the IDF and Israel's economy over night.

How would you like to live next door to people like this:
Online, everyone is on the same level: just a mind hiding behind a screen name. In reality, not everyone has the same education, knowledge, experience, expertise, etc. The mistake most people make is taking everything written in a blog as being worth listening to. In essence, that is no different than listening intently to every opinion thrown around at the local Walmart and assuming that they are all experts on global warming, international buisness, military strategy, etc. I'm not saying that blogs are usless or in any way wrong, but do think about what you read instead of assuming that the personal gushings on the average blog contain the answer to the world's problems.
The influence of America is very high in all nation, they are also one of the best seller of exotic shoes
