According to Judi McLeod of CanadaFreePress:
As of right now in real time, abortion supporters have the number one spot in the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC)/Facebook Wish Contest. The wish for Canada to remain pro-choice has 7,054 supporters. The wish to abolish abortion in Canada has 7,048.
Contest ends on July 1st, and you will know participants by the repetitive stress injuries on their index fingers from multiple voting.
Of course I would never demean myself by actually casting a ballot in one of these childish pseudo-contests, but my good buddy Galactus loves 'em, and I may send him over to Facebook to offer a few dozen votes. But here's the thing: when babies die, Galactus cries.

shows how stupid folks are.
ReplyDeleteCanada has no abortion law. The nation is neither pro-choice or anti-abortion.
That is the national position. It is a non entity.
They can bark all they want, there is no bite for either side
I love the semantics used to describe killing a fetus for the sake of lifestyle convenience.
ReplyDeleteWould you kill a baby to earn more money? Would you kill a baby to get a newer car? Or to complete your college degree? Or get that cottage at the lake? That's what it boils down to.
110,000 abortions a year in Canada, and growing. At least $55,000,000 a year spent on abortions. Seems like the sex ed that's being taught in schools is a complete failure. What should we do about it?
Will the real Judi "flip-flop" McLeod stand up?

No inserts in tabloid
NOW:
In order to clarify Kate Lazier's otherwise correct facts in the story about Our Toronto [Canada Free Press] (NOW, May 30-June 5), the publishers have no connection to pro-life causes.
To our knowledge, no pro-life inserts were distributed with copies of our tabloid's first issue on May 15.
Fifty thousand copies of the newspaper were distributed across the city and, of course, the tabloid's principals have no control over those who would exploit the distribution process by inserting their own self-serving flyers or brochures.
