FreeD Legal Fundraising Failure

Usually, when a Free Dominion legal fundraiser is stalling out, a "mystery" contributor will show up at the last minute and dole out whatever remains of the monies needed (perhaps in imaginary funds). However, the drive I mentioned here hasn't ended so well, and the Fourniers seem to have disappeared their latest contribution thread to hide the evidence of its failure. Luckily, a backup was made here. Looks like they wound up with about $2,000 of the $3,000 they were aiming for. Cost that much get a lawyer to answer their phone these days.

A man arrested at the Ottawa courthouse for impersonating a lawyer was released from custody without charge after police confirmed he was in fact a lawyer.

Apparently, that's not awful enough to merit slammer time.

Which reminds me of my favorite lawyer joke.
