Now That's Scary

If you're a Ontario Liberal Party supporter, you don't want to hear that Christine Elliott, widow of Jim Flaherty, is going to run for Ontario PC leadership.  But she is.  On the other hand if you are a centrist who occasionally gets tired of reading about one damn screw-up after another and might like an alternative that isn't as crazy as the Hudak years looked set to be, she will probably come as a breath of fresh air.  I'm guessing The Wild Bunch won't ever let her ascend to the leadership.  Too damn Liberal.  But she's one possible way out of the conservative ghetto (old, rural, whiter than white) that that once proud, now sad party has fallen into.

But as Lynda Murtha, media assistant to Liberal MPP Aileen Carroll, says: that's all "past tense". The alleged perps are all Tories now, and until very recently one was head of the (currently defunct) Barrie riding association.

When Tim Hudak makes some response to the dissolution of the Barrie PC riding group, we will report on that response. So far nothing.

Meanwhile, one of the guys being charged is still Facebook friends with Frank Klees and several other PCPO notables.
