Jim Peterson Leaving Politics

From The Star, at the very end of the article about Justin Trudeau:

Yet another one of the former leadership candidates, Toronto lawyer Martha Hall Findlay, is expected to soon announce that she's looking for the seat in Willowdale when Jim Peterson signals he's leaving elected politics.

One of the few of the current crop of Liberal MPS I've met and actually spoken to, Jim always struck me as almost being too nice for politics.

Whooee! One time when the softwood deal was goin' on an' ol' Peterson was Minister o' International Trade, I emailed him an' he emailed back promptly an' I could tell he'd read my letter. I ain't in his ridin' an' he knew that. I reckon that puts him in my good books. He didn't sell out on softwood, either.

Sorry to interject OT, again, but I've heard back from Kim Bolan directly.
