The Stench Of Death Engulfs Them
BC Libs are going down in flames, and I don't care. They're lucky the BC Conservatives have imploded. That might mean the difference between a mere thumping and a Dix Super-Majority.

The People Are Coming
...according to B.C. Liberal Leadership Candidate George Abbott's spectacularly ill-chosen campaign slogan, which reminds me of that guy who ran for leader of the Duma years ago, who promised that, if elected, everyone in Russia would have an orgasm. No word on how Mr. Abbott intends to deliver on his promises, but his campaign will almost certainly involve one of those province-wide bus-tours, so maybe he can go door-to-door.

Say, Maybe A Carbon Tax ISN'T Politically Fatal
If an election were held tomorrow, 52 per cent of decided voters would choose the Liberals, 36 per cent NDP.
Of course, Gorden Campbell didn't run on the tax, and introduced it early enough into his term so that any backlash spent itself well before election day.
Smart move, that.
As an aside, I wonder if there is any upside for the federal Libs. in these numbers. I've been told that the B.C. and federal wing are entirely different animals, and that the provincial body has tried maintain a healthy distance from its Canada-wide counterpart, esp. during the Martin years. Still, this can't be bad news.
