"Over the weekend, I was reviewing the Canadian Islamic Congress’ dossier on Maclean’s “flagrant Islamophobia” for my forthcoming book The Mark Steyn Flagrantly Islamophobic Reader. One of the differences between the Maclean’s case and The Western Standard’s is that Ezra is being pursued by a foreign imam trained (such as it is) by the semi-literates of some third-rate Saudi seminary."
Yo Steyn! I bet the old imam at least graduated high-school!
Yo imam! Consider suing this Steyn guy too!

I never thought Steyn's essential "queenieness" would ever come back to the fore so strikingly. I really thought all those years as a rugged individualist (clearing brush in Lyme, New Hampshire, one imagines) would have managed to sublimate that unfortunate tendency of his to become too hissy, strident, shrill, peevish, waspish and cunty.
If he gets any more worked up about this, he might actually start lactating.

Oh come on. You'd burst into tears and speed dial the HRC if a het talked like that.

I'm telling the Bread n' Rozzzzzzzz crowd on you.

Heh. That's kind of funny.
"Heh. That's kind of funny."
At the rate we're going, we het white anglo males will be doing 'soft shoes' for our supper (and the amusement of 'The Coalition'), so I've been working on my comedy chops in preparation.

It is striking how you het (?) anglo, white males are so brittle and fragile. Thank God you live in a kind and compassionate society which will help you re-orient yourselves to a reality that has changed, eh?
...or will at least provide you with affordable psychotropic medicine that will help you cope with your woefully diminished circumstances.
Obviously, being smarter, more honest and less whiny isn't going to happen.
Now now, don't get uppity; we're in power for the foreseeable future, and your still on teh welfare, let's keep our perspective here.
No, you're on welfare.
There, I win.
The problems with you whiners are multi-dimensional, but one of the worst traits is your suburban, bourgeois focus on petty status.
I don't know anyone who is on welfare. Yet wingnuts are obsessed with that issue.
Is that how you all keep yourselves dumb?

If he makes a personal choice to lactate, BnR would have no problem. If he tells all other drama queens that they must or must not lactate as his morality dictates, then he would soon find his milk going sour from the heat.
"If he makes a personal choice to zzzzzzzzz...patriarchy...zzzzzzzzzzz..."
Speaking of (humourless) whiners always begging for free shit.
I think radical feminism may have jumped the shark when Irene Mathysen pulled that pathetic man-hating stunt and humiliated herself in public. Sweet.
Oh, I missed this the first time:
"too...waspish"
WTF? Too white anglo-saxon protestant? As I noted the other day, you're not even hiding it anymore, eh?
Oh, the illiteracy...
wasp·ish (wŏs'pĭsh) adj.
1. Of, relating to, or suggestive of a wasp.
2. Easily irritated or annoyed; irascible.
3. Indicative of irritation, annoyance, or spite: a waspish remark.
Good thing I didn't use the word "niggardly."
OT but topical:
Newsflash from The Canadian Press:
"More than 140 disaffected party members voted to create a new riding executive they hope will in turn hold a nomination runoff to decide who will carry the party banner for the northern riding of Desnethe-Misinippi-Churchill River in a March 17 byelection.
"Why should Stephane Dion - who doesn't know anything about our constituency - impose that on us? That's just not right. We're not going to take it," said Jim Durocher.
Since the Liberals won the seat my a meagre 86 votes last go-round, I'd say this won will go Conservative in March.
Ya gotta keep your rank and file in line.
Not a leader.
Don't be coy, TiGuy, I suppose cunty really means "Can't Understand Normal Thought, Yo" too? And why do I suddenly have the urge to put on my rubber boots and have a Pepsi?
*sigh*...I hate it when they try to be clever. It's so depressing.
Too bad Jonah Goldberg exists. If he didn't, the cabal would have selected Steyn to write the stupidest book ever, which would be career-ending for a Canadian...even a pseudo one like Steyn.
"even a pseudo one like Steyn."
Immigrant bashing, eh? See first comment re: tears, speed dial, if a het talked like this about, say, Sunera Thobani. You're very grumpy today.
Try again.
Ezra's blog is receiving high praise (he's being called a "hero" repeatedly) from around the world, including one from Romania (who know a thing or two about fascist/leftist government organizations).
Freedom/rights activists from around the world going to Ezra's blog to comment with words of praise and respect.
And here?
Here we have.......ti-guy, with his foul mouthed drivel, cheering on the radical imams.
Good God, could there be a more apt dichotomy?
This is getting weirder by the second: the commentariat at Small Dead Animals appears to be calling for hate crime charges against Facebook and certain individuals who are saying...offensive?...things about Ezra.
In the same breath they're both for and against "hate crimes". Weird. At least present company is consistent in its opposition to free expression.

Pay dirt! The incoherence of rightwingers never fails to manifest itself.
"Pay dirt! The incoherence of rightwingers never fails to manifest itself."
They are just venting. The facebook page is more of a hate crime than anything Steyn or Ezra have done.
I'm surprised you haven't joined the happy little facebook group ti-guy, show your true self.
They aren't right wingers, they're "neocons". While that word typically has no currency in Canada, I doubt any of those readers are from here anyway.
Sure are an awful lot of guys named "Jim O'Connor" "Mike Anderson" there who are wholly fixated on teh Muslims, to the exclusion of all other issues. Doesn't sound like the Jims and Mikes I know.

I can't see the Facebook page, although I went over to KKKate's and got a flavour of it, as well as being exposed to KKKate's genocidal commentariat. What crime did they commit, Wayne? Calling Ezra a nasty Jew isn't a crime, as far as I know. It's hateful and bigoted, but so's KKKate's site.
I'm surprised you haven't joined the happy little facebook group ti-guy, show your true self.
What's that supposed to mean, you rustic moron?
Once upon a time "liberal" meant someone who devoutly believed in liberty for all, someone who maintained that the primary role of government was to ensure the freedom of everyone, even those whose opinions or politics offended.
Now I don't know what the hell a liberal is.
ti-guy - "is MORE of a hate crime" I did not say it was one, you big city dweeb.
"It's hateful and bigoted" I am glad to hear you say that. We can agree on one thing.
You said it all rabbit. I don't know if there are any true liberals left.
Oh, boo hoo, Wayne (the rightwinger) and Rabbit (concern troll par excellence).
"Liberal" and "conservative" mean absolutely nothing if we're drowning in a corporate media sea of lies, hate and sensationalism.
I find it fascinating how people who never, ever ever have anything useful to say get all preachy and self-righteous about free expression. That's because it's easy. Like any element of laissez faire, defending it requires no intellectual rigour whatsoever.
"we're drowning in" a MSM "sea of lies, hate and sensationalism."
"Like any element of laissez faire, defending it requires no intellectual rigour whatsoever."
Deepak Lal does a great job of defending laissez faire economics in his book, Reviving the Invisible Hand.
He has more brains than you do ti-guy.
Wayne, isn't there a lonely Charolaise you should be attending to?
Hey Wayne,
I corrected you're little falsehood about the temperature record in Brandon in a previous thread. No response?
Even the cataclysmically stupid ones are dishonest.
I think Wayne just smokes a lot of pot.
Lenny - I have not had a chance to setup my spreadsheet to graph and calculate the data. I did not see where to download the data until the day after you posted. Then I forgot about it, sorry.
Ti-goof must be BigmycityLib going on about Sunera Thobani. He tried that on Salon today on Noxious Fruit of Hate Speech Laws. Those "dumb" Americans googled her name and "found" the blood thirsty Americans quote.....Big City said had never been said. No real big deal but selective reasoning is a hallmark of being right and "ending" the debate. What debate?
Unlike rightwing retards, liberals and progressives can argue the unacceptability of illiberal belief systems and challenge their suitability when it comes to the law and secular society without calling for persecution, internment and genocide.
It think it has something to do with using language correctly; righties throw around words as if they have no meaning.
Ti-Guy:
Go take your lithium and then we'll have a grown-up debate.
Go take your lithium and then we'll have a grown-up debate.
Odd that you would venture a personal attack, rather than challenge this bit of blithering nonsense:
"liberals may want to be their subjects but real men don't."
Why is that, Rabbit? Is it because I've insulted so often in the past (mostly because I find your Solomon-like even-handedness uninteresting and intellectually lazy) or is it because you really are just a "concern troll?"
Do tell.
Well, let's see now Ti-Guy. You called me "concern troll par excellence", plus this gem...
I find it fascinating how people who never, ever ever have anything useful to say get all preachy and self-righteous about free expression.
You don't like personal attacks? Don't start 'em.
You didn't answer my question, Rabbit.
And accusing you of being a concern troll (which is based on the fact that that's all you ever do) is a far less despicable personal attack than suggesting I'm a manic-depressive who's not taking his medication.
...not that I'm offended. It's the kind accusation I launch at wingnuts all the time, after all.
As far as certain people never saying anything useful, that's really only a statement of fact. That you took that personally is of course, significant.
