Tory MPP Randy Hillier: Soft On Gun Crime

Here he is pleading for leniency on behalf of Ontario gunsmith Bruce Montague, now doing time for converting semi-automatic weapons into machine guns, among other things. As for Hillier's point in the letter, well, its pretty clear from the history of the case that Montague was courting martyrdom. Such status doesn't come cheap, and in this country martyrs have to pay their bills same as everyone else.
