Your Daily Nazi: Son Of Stormfront

Derek Black, son of Don Black,  the former Alabama Klan leader who now runs the largest racist Web forum (Stormfront)  in the world, has renounced white nationalism.  When Don retires, Derek plans to turn the forum into an interracial dating site.  Just kidding.  But good on Derek.  I've written about Stormfront many times due to its role in stories related to the Canadian Human Rights Commision and the adventures of Richard Warman.  Here is some background for anyone who cares.

Meanwhile, Warman's court date with Connie and Mark and the anonymous posters at Free Dominon grows near.  I am informed that several anonies (Klinxx and SaskBigPicture) have thrown in the towel and settled.  The others appear to be comfortable fighting  a defamation case over statements that have been proven to be false on multiple occasions years ago.  Fools and their money, and all that.

Your Daily Nazi: A Real Enemies List

The Folks at ARC point out the distinction between a CHRC clippings file--which first sent the Speechy Tribe into a frenzy of self-righteous paranoia, and then into a fit of depression when they realized that the State not only wasn't watching but didn't give a shit about them-- and a real enemies list, compiled by Stormfront, of the CHRC's various employees. Check marks beside their names mean that personal and professional information has been posted to the Stormfront site.

Many fans of James Von Brunn on Stormfront, it should be noted.

Your Daily Nazi: Nazis Claim Credit For Research In Levant's Shakedown

Levant relied heavily on research and work done by Fromm, Lemire, me and other Stormfront posters, but at the same time took a shot at us by calling people like Lemire "hate-mongers". His friend Steyn is saying how Levant is sticking up for us all, yet Steyn refuses to lend support to Lemire's constitutional challenge. Steyn and Levant are in it for the money and self preservation, not for the greater good.

Of course, it doesn't mean what Levant and Steyn are doing is not a positive for us in general. Maybe with their help, Lemire can take down Warman and the CHRC in his constitutional challenge. After all, levant mentions Stormfront in his book, and I'm sure a few people will investigate on their own and check our site out.

Any publicity is good publicity.

I've been saying for ages now that most of what's in ShakeDown and in Ezra's legal defense has been stuff regurgitated from Neo-Nazi websites. If you want to know why he's likely to lose his defamation case, and why his crusade has been shunned by lawmakers (even if embraced in the MSM) then that's why.

You can read the origonal post here, on Stormfront itself, if you are so inclined.

Your Daily Nazi: The Nazis Don't Like It!

The Moon Report gets a pan on Stormfront, and for obvious reasons. Hand over regulating this kind of material to the police, and you will wind up with more police on your ass, if you're a Nazi or other form of bigot.

Buckets On The CHRC Wifi Case

I think B's conclusions are essentially the same as mine (because he was the one that worked most of this out in the first place), but he gives a nice breakdown of the puzzle. He doesn't speculate as to why the RCMP did not pursue the "technical data" from Stormfront, merely notes that "a closer look at the evidence wasn't possible given jurisdictional issues".

I, on the other hand, would speculate that Stormfront owner Don Black, who was instrumental in filing the original complaint, could have simply handed over this technical data--presumably logs--to the RCMP (as was done with the original IP address) but, for whatever reason, chose not to, and the jurisdictional issues that arose were the kind that would have been involved in compelling an American website to provide material to Canadian authorities.

Buckets hypothesizes:

Black would not want to hand over his logs to the RCMP, of course, since this would expose many of their Canadian members to prosecution for hate crimes.

And it is far from clear what shape the logs themselves were in. Or, indeed, whether Black ever consulted them. (It is likelier that he merely used his bulletin board software's lookup feature.)

How true how true.

CHRC Off The Hook

The RCMP will not pursue charges against the Canadian Human Rights Commission over allegations that its investigators hacked an Ottawa woman's wireless internet account to conceal their identity on websites under investigation for hate speech, the National Post has learned.

This one has been a foregone conclusion ever since Marc Lemire pulled similar claims from his constitutional challenge a couple of months ago. If the man behind the criminal complaint didn't believe his own allegations, why should anyone else? Nevertheless, the decision has been a long time coming.

Furthermore, the charges were ridiculous in the first place. As I have argued repeatedly, at about 350 metres distance, Nelly Hechme's wifi network was out of range of CHRC computers. Nor would it have been necessary for the CHRC to hack her connection, as a wifi scan of the street in front of CHRC HQ shows any number of wireless access points within range.

Furthermore, as some excellent work by Bucket's demonstrated (well, I helped a little), the IP address that Stormfront owner Don Black and Marc Lemire handed over to the tribunal was originally used by CHRC investigator Dean Steacey to access Stormfront in September of 2006. Given the highly dynamic nature of Bell's wireless network, it is wildly unlikely that Streacey's computer should have been given the same IP address in December, when he accessed the site on a 2nd occasion.

I wrote at the time:

Hint One: Most likely nobody visited Stormfront from 70.48.181.203 on December 8, 2006. Not Steacy, not Hechme--nobody. Lemire's criminal complaint, which refs that IP number, will therefore come to nought.

Hint Two: Given the search tools employed by Stormfront, a thorough search of IPs related to Jadewarr should have returned more than a single address. And the address used by CHRC staff in December, 2006 is almost certainly sitting undiscovered in Stormfront records.

This is interesting in the light of this bit from Brean's National Post story:

...to investigate further would involve [the RCMP] going after technical data from a website based in the United States, stormfront.org, which they said is not possible.

Mark Lemire elaborates unhelpfully:

...the RCMP will not criminally charge the CHRC with theft of an innocent woman’s internet connection because the evidence leads to an American website, which is outside the jurisdiction of the RCMP.

Well, wait a minute, if Don Black handed over technical information to Lemire, why could he not do the same for the RCMP? It is quite possible that he in fact refused to hand over this information, and that he is hiding the presence of the 2nd address mentioned above in his records. In other words, the information turned over to the Tribunal and RCMP may have been intentionally left incomplete.

Your Daily Nazi: Ezra's Statement Of Defense Regurgitates Nazi Sources

The full text of Ezra' statement is here.

Just a couple of points. The picture above left is related to paragraph 41 of Ezra's statement, which reads in part:

In 2006, Mr. Warman paid for a bus to transport dozens of ARA [Anti Racist Action] Members to the Toronto home of Mr. [Paul] Fromm.

ARA was and is a decentralized group of anti-Fascist activists working in Canada and the U.S. If you lived in Toronto, esp. during the 1990s and earlier part of this decade, you might have read about how this "ragamuffin band of homeless street kids and anarchists" out-hustled and out organized our local white supremacist contingent, including at the event depicted above left.

While Richard Warman addressed the group in 2005, the only evidence ever presented to the effect that he rented a bus to get them to Paul Fromm's Toronto residence is the photo shown above left. A couple of days ago, a member of ARA's Toronto chapter contacted me with information on the 2006 incident(1):

This is a canard that has been spread by neo-nazis...too obtuse to understand a sarcastic placard when they see one ("Thanks Richard Warman for the bus rental" - meant to taunt the fascists) ...In fact, the bus, which cost approximately $200, was paid for by ARA organizers.

Put another way, Ezra's lawyers are unable to distinguish between a joke placard and a financial statement.

In fact, part of the problem with Ezra's statement of defense is how heavily it leans upon material gleaned from this site. While the people behind Richardwarmen.com are still mysterious, immediately upon its creation word of the page was published on Stormfront (warning, link to Neo-Nazi website!). This is something you don't want to happen if you intend to use material from a site in your libel defense. It rather lowers the credibility of that material.

Furthermore, at several points in his statement of the defense Levant refers to "the ARA" which, given the fact that "ARA" stands for "Anti Racist Action", is ungrammatical. Correct is "ARA" or "the ARA network". What is telling is that this particular error is typical of Neo-Nazi references to the group. For example, here and here (Warning! More Nazis!). Another sign of where the material in Ezra's statement originates.

(1) This account has been corroborated from a number of other sources. The point of the placard is that previously members of the Stormfront community had speculated that Warman must be renting buses for the ARA network, so many of them were turning out for Anti-Ernst Zundel protests.

Your Daily Nazi: Weep For The White Supremacist Edition

A letter in which Glenn Bahr, founder of Western Canada For Us (WCFU), a now defunct racist group based in Edmonton, laments his harsh treatment at the hands of Edmonton's finest. Posted to both of those bastions of Free Speech, Free Dominion AND Stormfront.

Although Mr. Bahr's luck has been changing lately. As noted yesterday evening, he's found a supporter in Edmonton Conservative MP James Rajotte who, although he has kept himself carefully ignorant of anything beyond the "generalities" of Mr. Bahr's case, does know enough to know he's against Section 13.

Jonathon Kay: Conned By Nazis?

Yesterday, comment pages editor and columnist for the Natty Post Jonathon Kay posted a blog entry entitled "Jonathan Kay on Richard Warman and Canada's phony-racism industry". Less than an hour later and poof! it was gone! replaced by this hastily written and truly crappy piece re Family Day. What happened? Well, as you can see from the entry, which FreeDominon was kind enough to publish here, Jonathon was parroting Canadian Nazi Mark LeMire's fantasy re Richard Warman, his wandering IP address, and postings re Senator Anne Cools. Who knows for sure, but it may have been that a former employee contacted Mr. Kay and quietly informed him that the "computer expert" referred to in his piece was in fact renowned Canadian Nazi Bernard Klatt, and that you really don't want to make potentially libelous statements on the basis of a Nazi's word!

But whatever the case, this really tells you how low journalistic standards have sunk at The Post. They've essentially let themselves get played by Nazis! What's next? Successfully burgled by a gang of retarded chipmunks?

Meanwhile the lads at Stormfront are conflicted! For Kay said:

As I’ve written before, this would not be so much a problem if their various speech codes were used merely to prosecute men such as David Ahenakew, Ernst Zundel, Jim Keegstra and the like. But in the post-9/11 era, radical anti-racists are also agitating to shut up sensible people saying sensible things about the war against militant Islam, the defining global struggle of our era.

Canadian Nazi Paul Fromm doesn't like that. Why are Ezra Levant and Mark Steyn considered sensible, while he is not? Nevertheless, overall he approves of Kay's sentiments, writing: Well, we take our allies where we can find them.

They'll want to hear that over at the Natty Post!

Update: At Ezra's place, Kay writes:

Ezra -- I took the post down when a more intelligent colleague of mine gave me some background about who Bernard Klatt is. Whatever Klatt may know about electronic sleuthing and the like, I didn't feel comfortable citing his affidavit as a source, even if all of the technical details in it are correct.

There you have it, folks! The Post's comments editor doesn't know how to employ teh Googles!
