May It Go On Forever

OTTAWA — Canadians do not yet know everything there is to know about the actions of former Conservative cabinet minister Helena Guergis and her husband Rahim Jaffer, says a Conservative MP.

“I can assure you that there is far more to come out,” Shelly Glover, parliamentary secretary for official languages told CTV’s Question Period Sunday. “This isn’t finished.”

And may the "A-word" be uttered daily on the floor of the HOC. Because why? Because this.

PS. I'd laugh nervously if I'd said something this ridiculous too. Harper did not act quickly over the serial screw-ups of Ms. Guergis. He tried to pull a Chretien--that is, hang on to his errant minister until a quiet moment when the press wasn't looking, and dump her then. But I've seen Jean Chretien on TV and, Mr. Harper, you are no Jean Chretien.

Why would a newbie MP like (not so bright) Shelley Glover have the inside scoop on the Guergis issue?

I'll bet she's been give the talking points.

My guess too.

Ruralsandi . . . Is that all you do? Call people who have opposite views to yours names? Im all for womens rights except if they are Conservative. Then theyre dumb. Maybe somebody should give you some talking points.

Well thank god for that . . the last thing Canada needs is another PM who thinks the Business Development Bank is his personal account.

The Cruton Legacy . . . Shawinigate.

And yet JC is beloved by the whole nation. Harper ranks below dead fish.

Fred, here's a newsflash you missed. Chretien was cleared of any conflict of interest in that case like, oh, over ten years ago.

But why let the truth get in the way of a good story, eh Fred?

What was Glover doing on that panel yesterday? What was even funnier was when she "innocently" talked about partisan politics yet she and Del Mastro had their mics cutoff during Member's Statements on Friday. Maybe she should STFU!

Oh and furthermore, the National Post (aka the official propaganda wing of the Reformatory Party) was hiding a less than reputable informant in the NP's 'Shawinigate' shenanigans ...and lost their case of protecting them in the Supreme Court just a few days ago.

I don't know if it is possible, but I'd love to see a slander counter-suit filed about this.

sounds like Prairie Kid got his "how to feign outrage" CPoC software updated.

Oh Prairie Kid, lighten up. Newbie - meaning "new" MP. Not too bright means she's not terribly bright.

And, why would a "new" MP be in on the confidential matters of the PMO? Think about it.

Poor little boo boo - hands it out but can't take it. Prairie Kid you're a wimp.

Whoops, Fred burped some more lies again. Seems he doesn't keep up. Probably reading old newspapers he has stacked up in the basement.

Heh, you Libs should look inward and perhaps ask Alf Apps to prove that he gave that retainer cheque back to Gillani. I'm not saying he kept it directly, but....

Oh, there will more coming out all right and it ain't all about Guergis.

Do you find it funny that Apps is not trying to sue Snowdy?

More Lib lies to be exposed soon!

Who cares? Are you suggesting if a lawyer represents people he takes on all the characteristics of that person?

I ask, because recently there was a bit of an uproar over the fact that one of Harper's judicial appointees once represented the Hells Angels. Does that mean Harper appointed someone who supports the Hells Angels? Or does it mean that lawyers have clients, and as long as the work being done for that client is legal and above board, then it is perfectly acceptable for lawyers to have clients.

Though I love how you conservatives are desperately clinging to this as though if Apps represented Gillani once it is going to erase the fact Harper fired one of his caucus members and then lied to us about why.
