On CPoC No Shows

Here's the official explanation from Ryan Sparrow:

We provide support for candidates to participate in candidates debates, but we don't instruct them not to attend debates. Most candidates would prefer to meet with voters one on one though instead of debating their opponents in crowds of committed supporters of the different parties.

And here is the rather extensive list.

PS.  This list first appeared here on the 19th.  It's grown considerably in the meantime.

Judging by the latest poll numbers, maybe some Liberals should stop showing up.

Jason Kenney has not been seen in Calgary South East. We've thought about having a candidate's forum but we know that the Conservative candidate will not show. People aren't interested in coming out without a full slate on the stage.

PK, don't you have some election signs to go out and deface?

You can add Conservative candidate Nina Grewal to that list (Fleetwood-Port Kells, BC).

Rob Anders never shows up, though I can't see anything to confirm it happening this election

All candidate debates are frequently reported in local media. Conservatives can't have that, can they.

Never mind. Confirmed here.
