Khan Crosses Floor

So says Stephen Taylor, at least:

I am now reporting that Wajid Khan will join the Conservative ranks tomorrow as a backbench MP. Doing so protects Khan from cynicism of the press and opposition of making such a political move for career advancement, or for monetary considerations. Khan joins the Tories without taking a position in either cabinet or as a Parliamentary secretary.

Well, that sucks. Apparently, he will cite (socon?) "values" as the reason for the more. A bit more in the way of analysis can be found here.

Liberals who voted for the re-opening of the SSM debate:

Karygiannis
Lee
Byrne
Wappel
Cullen – Etobicoke North
Bonin
McTeague
McKay
Malhi
Steckle
Tonks
Khan
Scarpaleggia

Numerous Liberal bloggers posted that these MPs should be booted out of the LPC for voting with the Cons motion.
Maybe they don't feel welcome under the Big Tent anymore.
