To Know Him Is To Sue Him, Part Bazillion

Yesterday, CC pointed out that Khurrum Awan's defamation suit against Ezra Levant appears to be proceeding. In addition, I have been told that Vigna v. Levant (Giacomo Vigna is or was a lawyer for the CHRC) should get underway in February. Keep cranking out them books, Ezra. You'll need the funds, and anyway I'm sure "Oiled Up" will sell in the high double-digits (which may, incidentally, be enough to make it a Canadian bestseller).

Update: In related news, The National Post offers Warman a "satisfactory settlement agreement", and his libel action has been discontinued.

Looking at these people's track record against Levant, I'd say you're crowing prematurely.

Frankly, I kind of feel sorry for Awan. He got involved in something implicitly stupid, and seems to have woken up to the reality that if can't quiet Levant down, his legal career is already over before it even started.

But I'm sure he'll have a rewarding and fulfilling career chasing ambulances or something.

Litigation against Levant has been, in the past, successful on a number of occasions.

Lawyers sue each other for libel all the time. Unlike some creepy derelict who's never had a real job (and now, never will), it's not really a career-ending event.

Certain proponents for libel reform have a harder time of it due to people like Ezra. *Ahem*

Are there not still a number of cases before the Courts? Gee I would like to see an accounting of all the libel wins and complaints Ezra claims he won.

Really? That's funny...Ezra himself is claiming that of the 23 nuisance lawsuits and complaints to the Bar Association directed against him, he has won EVERY ONE of them. 23 out of 23.

If you have information to the contrary, please share it.

I have yet to hear of a single judgement go against Levant. Please provide examples and sources.
