More on Norway Space Rock

From the Norwegian Paper Aftenposten, a picture of the impact site of that big meteorite that hit a mountain in Norway. Text is in Norwegian, but the picture is reproduced here:

Nothing in the picture to provide scale, but the original report, which put the impact at around 15 kilotons, sounds a wee bit exaggerated.

BCL, can't help with Norwegian, but the figure of "10-12 kilos" is mentioned in the text, and that might refer to the estimated weight of the rock.

If you look at the vegetation in the picture, it's low shrub with a small-to-medium birch in the lower left. It doesn't look like much of a crater considering those comparisons.

The origonal story here (in English)

http://www.aftenposten.no/english/local/article1346411.ece

says that the rock had to be much bigger than 90 kilos.

Don't think there'd be any vegetation nearby if it was 90 kilos....
