Last year, when he wasn't having his cars stolen or crashing, news aggregator extraordinaire Pierre Bourque was trailing the pack in his CPoC sponsored race car (pictured above at Mosport). This year, however, something has changed:
Same race, same car number (though not, I think, the identical same car), no CPoC banner. Furthermore, CPOC is not given as one of car sponsors here. So, did the party with money to burn decide not to spend any pandering to NASCAR fans in 2008?

All of his sponsors:
Primary Sponsor - driving.ca
Associate Sponsors - Canada.Com, Dose.Ca, working.com.
...are subsidiaries of CanWest/Global.
I expect the Cons realized that having photos of their logo on a stock car wasn't going to help their already feeble "green" image in a fall election.
Whooee! Yeah, they probbly realized it was dumbass move pretty quick. They sure as hell defended it at the time. I wonder how many hours exposure they got for their money. The Con PR brain trust at work. Oily, anyone? Maybe, they're takin' the balance of their Borque contract in headlines.
Imagine if it crashed? We could have had a great photo of that CPC logo all crunched up...
