Psst! Blogger Scaramouche = Mindy Alter

Surf over to Richard Warman's site and you find this:

Note to Mindy Alter (aka blogger Scaramouche) of North York. Launching anonymous harangues against people is bad karma.

I don't know how Warman fingered Ms. Alter; maybe through typical on-line sleuthery, maybe through the  weird powers he exercises over the Internet itself.  In any case, Ms. Alter's Linked-In profile is here; she appears to be some kind of PR person.

And what would be the point of exposing Mindy?  Well, Scaramouche runs with the Shaidle's and their gang of hate-mongers, and some of the stuff she's written seems to come pretty close to defamation.  So, if anyone feels wronged, and more specifically that a lawsuit is in order, they now have a real person to serve.

Meanwhile, on a topic only slightly related to the above, you might say that Canuck white nationalist Paul Fromm is too easy to make fun of.  Nevertheless, this is state-of-the-art mockery.

I try hard not to bathe in the mud that is the bully-pit of right-wing blogs. Though from time to time I wander over for a look at what bile the underbelly of society is propogating.

To be fair, if they would stick to issues instead of peronal attacks I might have more respect for them. And of course its the anonymous ones who very often post the most direct attacks.

Mostly they seem to speak amongst themselves. If comments are an indicator of anything this Scaramouche seems to be barely respected even by her own neanderthal cousins.

Its good that those who run blogs on a regular basis are not as anonymous as they think. Perhaps it will tone down the personal attacks. Or not, I guess we will see

Any idea what Scaramouche said that set Warman off?

I'm not sure it was anything directly related to him.

I was just looking through Mindy's blog entries mentioning "Warman." He comes up with unusual -- one might say even obsessive -- regularity.

I'll never understand why fellow speechies have to make personal attacks on Warman.

Can anyone else read her blog without hearing "Bohemian Rhapsody" playing in their head?
Sounds like she will be doing the fandango soon...

Warman seems to be one of those names that is a statement all by itself, a code word for all that ails and riles the fascists. Just like Justin Trudeau was until a few days ago. Now all the code books have to be changed since it turns out JT isn't quite the latte sipping glass jawed sissy dauphin lightweight they had convinced themselves he is.

Just so we're clear on it, I don't see Warman accusing her of defamation. I don't know why he felt it was appropriate to out her. And it should be equally clear that accusing someone of defamation who hasn't defamed anyone is in and of itself defamatory, and that is now relevant given that we're now talking about a real person and no longer about someone anonymous.

Marky Mark not everyone is a lawyer and I suppose its possible to allege that someone is "defaming" you or someone else without that being suit worthy. I mean what if they wrote instead he/she impugned my character? means the same as "defamed without the actual word being used.

I'm speculating but read Warman as firing a shot across the bow-plus some who operate under their own names take a dim view of those who don't. But to accuse someone of engaging in tortious or criminal conduct when they haven't (which I don't think Richard Warman has done here) can lead to bad things for those making such an accusation.

Heeding Marky's legal advice I am slightly "altering" (forgive the pun) my earlier post.

The gist was that this blogger also pointed her negative critical comments on Jewish progressives like Irwin Cotler and Bernie Farber.

Her style reminds me of the bullies in school who used name-calling to intimidate.

Max I saw your orginal post and I dont think it was a problem. But I do love the pun!
