And They Should Do It All Without Acquiring A Single Clue

Regardless of [Barack Obama's director of communications] Anita Dunn's putative 'insights' into campaign techniques and media manipulation, Obama's spin doctors and handlers have no business at an NDP convention. Labour unionists, social change activists and New Democrats should confront the tools of corporate rule, expose their rotten policies and practices, and fight for working class political independence from the parties of Capital, north and south of the 49th parallel.

Man, whenever I hear the NDP intelligentsia I feel I should don my red beret and start singing "We Shall Overcome". Its as though they're happy to be stuck in a rut.

Well just stand in front of your Iggy/Liberal mirror and have a good long stare.

More of a deep hole than just a rut.

Now hold on a gawd-dang minute...okay, you hit the nail on the head. The NDP insiders really are a pack of clueless gits.

Oh, shut the fuck up.

I'm still not sure if the NDP, as a whole, rejects capitalism or not. It's an ambiguity that I thought only the Liberals could get away with.

(Warning - may contain some snark)

Sorry, wrong song - it should be "The Red Flag" sung by Billy Bragg to the tune of "The White Cockaigne" (The irony of that is deep and hilarious)

Gotta say the left has always had good songs ("The Internationale" has great lyrics and not a bad tune - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJfgsG9Wgas&feature=related about 3 min in - Billy talks a lot - better than either "Oh Canada" or "The Star Spangled Banner" if you can listen to it without thinking about the Russian tanks in Prague) The Provos have some good songs too and who can forget the Horst-Wessel-Lied - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYIU09o1gsI
