Bob Rae Weighs In On Shona Holmes And The U.S. Healthcare Debate

Keep Canada out of the U.S. debate. We've never suggested exporting our system. We have our own debates and our own issues, and because of the moral choices we made 40 years ago they are different from the American paradigm.

Has there been anything out of the Gov. on this issue? Seems that they ought to be offering at least an opinion.

It isn't a sexy enough issue for Harper - he'd rather brag and boast on US media about Canada's banking system - the same system he was against and voted against when Chretien/Martin brought it in.

Besides, Harper wouldn't want to bash the US when he wants their pathetic system for Canada.

The government shouldn't be saying anything. It should avoid commenting on US health care issues.

They don't have to comment on the US system - they just have to clear up misconceptions about ours. Too hard a task?

Per Rae:

No one should demonize Shona Holmes.

Well, no one who matters, should. Thank God I don't matter.

...*ahem*...

Attention-seeking hypochondriac. Thank God the public systems pays for treating that as well.
