Global Warming Swims Up To Port Aux Basques?


Difficult to say. Basking Sharks do appear off Nfld., so this story is not unusual in itself, but perhaps not so late in the season. Awful impressive beasty either way.

Don't know their history on the east coast, but I do know that they were once very common in B.C.. Sadly, due to the mistaken belief that that ate salmon they were relentlessly slaughtered until they became extremely rare, as they remain to this day.
