...to assuage his old Reform Party urges, I imagine.
By the way, the blogger here, R.G. Harvie, is a wheel in the Lethbridge East (provincial?) PC Association. He is, more or less, trustworthy.
PS. Its also being reported via Rogers radio in Alberta.

I don't think this actually means anything, aside from the fact that provincially Rob Anders now has a Wild Rose Alliance party membership as well as a PC party membership.
He hasn't actually jumped any ships...
Actually Mr Friesen, I think this is a bigger deal than you suggest. The last thing Harper needs right now are for his MPs to meddle in Alberta provincial politics. Rob Anders once again confirmed he's the biggest ass of all 308 MPs on the hill. This incident make me seriously believe Anders has something really juicy on Harper, maybe pictures with a sheep or something? I don't have any other explanation on why Harper protects him so.
LOL.. thanks for the props.. err.. maybe not exactly "props" on this page..
Politics in Alberta truly is somewhat stupider than usual.
But, I suppose, at least it isn't boring.. as has been the case for about 4 decades.
Poor Rob. No wonder Albertans vote massively en bloc. Even the act of thinking independently seems to just invite a torrent of abuse from one's provincial co-partisans.
We need to invade that province, kill their leaders and institute multi-party democracy.
LOL.. hey, TG.. correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you hailing from "la belle Province"?
Hardly a province of sober thought itself.
But, yeah, there are days here where you wonder just what is in the water.
, but aren't you hailing from "la belle Province"?
No. I'm an Ontarian, although that identity, as it is for most Ontarians, is largely meaningless, as we have emancipated ourselves from that type of parochial tribalism.
"Ontarians". You'd get a whole lot of blank stares if you came down this way and said that's who you were. Upper Canadians, the lot of ya.
But, yeah, there are days here where you wonder just what is in the water.
Mostly byproducts of the oil industry I'd venture...
.."byproducts of the oil industry ".
Ha Ha Ha.. that's a funny one. You are a funny guy..
Actually, if "byproducts" is actually referring to "oil industry transfer money", well, most of that seems to be finding it's way to Quebec these days.. so that Jean Charest can complain bitterly in Copenhagen about where it comes from, though, I guess, not enough to actually turn it down and give it back.
Funny how that is.
Guess there's not enough money in exporting lung cancer to India..
