No MSM coverage yet, but Tim Uppal's anti-Israeli Apartheid Week motion has been defeated.
Which makes me happy, for reasons I've given here.
Would this have been a voice vote where its impossible to who voted which way? Presumably it would have been non-whipped.

I think it needed unanimous consent to go through.
That's true. But I wonder if it would be a recorded vote. I'd especially be interested in how Keith Martin lined up, if it was.
Here is a link to Hansard. Not recorded:
"Mr. Tim Uppal:
Mr. Speaker, on a point of order, there have been consultations with all parties, and I hope you would find consent for the following motion: “That this House condemns Israeli Apartheid Week for seeking to delegitimize the State of Israel by equating it with the racist South African apartheid regime, and that this House continues to support a peaceful resolution through a negotiated two-state solution that respects Israel's right to exist”.
The Speaker:
Does the hon. member for Edmonton—Sherwood Park have the unanimous consent of the House to propose this motion?
Some hon. members: Agreed.
Some hon. members: No.
[Translation]
Mrs. Claude DeBellefeuille:
Mr. Speaker, I also wish to seek the unanimous consent of the House to adopt the following motion:
That this House denounce the use of the word apartheid to describe the Israeli policy on Palestinians and the word anti-Semitic to describe any criticism against Israel, and that this House reaffirm its support for Israel's right to live in peace and security within sound, established borders, and reaffirm its support for the right of the Palestinian people to have its own state within sound borders and to live there in peace and security.
The Speaker:
Does the hon. member for Beauharnois—Salaberry have the unanimous consent of the House to move this motion?
Some hon. members: Agreed.
Some hon. members: No.
The Speaker: There is no consent."

Hasn't stopped the CJC from viciously denouncing Libby Davies.
Sorry, that was "CIC."
Yeah, I'm gonna write about that tomorrow morning. How could they tell from a unrecorded (voice?) vote. By the way, CIC is not CJC. Bernie Farber would object. And I like Bernie.
I know, I know. Slip of the key. I've actually met the CEO of CIC, and a delightful member of his staff (I mean that). I far prefer the Canada-Israel Committee to the Canadian Jewish Congress--I thought until this that they were more progressive.
No wonder I didn't get my invite to Israel this year. :)
